    NJPW G-1 DAY 3

    1. G1 Climax – Block A: Yujiro Takahashi [4] beat Karl Anderson [4] (10:16) with the Tokyo Pimps.
    2. G1 Climax – Block A: Shelton Benjamin [4] beat Toru Yano [0] (8:11) with the Paydirt.
    3. G1 Climax – Block B: Hirooki Goto [4] beat MVP [2] (9:19) with a modified neck lock.
    4. G1 Climax – Block B: Kazuchika Okada [4] beat Rush [4] (9:20) with the Rainmaker.
    5. G1 Climax – Block B: Shinsuke Nakamura [2] beat Lance Archer [2] (12:11) with the Boma Ye.
    6. G1 Climax – Block B: Hiroyoshi Tenzan [2] beat Togi Makabe [0] (11:58) with a moonsault press.
    7. G1 Climax – Block A: Yuji Nagata [4] beat Naomichi Marufuji Pro Wrestling NOAH [2] (13:04) with a backdrop hold.
    8. G1 Climax – Block A: Hiroshi Tanahashi [4] beat Satoshi Kojima [0] (17:41) with the High Fly Flow.

    * Day three saw fewer upsets than the opening Korakuen double header, as Tanahashi defeated Kojima in a rematch of the 2010 G1 Climax and Nagata pinned NOAH’s Marufuji with his backdrop hold in the semi final. In a former battle of GBH leaders, 3-time G1 Climax winner Tenzan defeated Makabe who has made a poor start to the campaign with three losses in a row. Nakamura did what Makabe couldn’t and got off the mark following his own bad start, pinning Lance Archer, while the Rainmaker was quick to retaliate from yesterday’s loss to Naito by pinning Rush. Goto, Benjamin, and Yujiro all moved to 4pts with important wins, Yujiro having quietly made a really good start with back to back wins over Kojima and Anderson.

    - Rush [4]
    5. Hiroyoshi Tenzan [2]

    - MVP [2]

Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

    NJPW G-1 CLIMAX DAY 4

    NJPW, 8/5/12 (WPW/iPPV)
    Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium
6,500 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

    1. G1 Climax – Block A: Yujiro Takahashi [6] beat Yuji Nagata [4] (9:31) with the Tokyo Pimps.
    2. G1 Climax – Block B: MVP [4] beat Rush [4] (7:53) with the Irreversible Crisis.
    3. G1 Climax – Block B: Lance Archer [4] beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan [2] (10:57) with the Dark Days.
    4. G1 Climax – Block A: Karl Anderson [6] beat Shelton Benjamin [4] (9:15) with the Gun Stun.
    5. G1 Climax – Block A: Toru Yano [2] beat Minoru Suzuki [2] (8:05) with the Uragasumi.
    6. G1 Climax – Block B: Togi Makabe [2] beat Tetsuya Naito [4] (14:10) with a King Kong kneedrop.
    7. G1 Climax – Block B: Shinsuke Nakamura [4] beat Kazuchika Okada [4] (16:16) with the Boma Ye.
    8. G1 Climax – Block A: Naomichi Marufuji Pro Wrestling NOAH [4] beat Hiroshi Tanahashi [4] (21:29) with the Tiger Frosion.

    * Naomichi Marufuji bounced back from successive losses in the best way possible at another sold out Osaka show by scoring his first ever win over Hiroshi Tanahashi in an action-packed main event. This huge win for Marufuji was followed by him challenging Tana to an IWGP Heavyweight Title match irrespective of the outcome of the G1 Climax. In an equally big match the two head honchos of CHAOS, Nakamura and Okada, met in their first singles match with Shinsuke pulling off a big win that perhaps eases the theory that Okada has overtaken him as CHAOS leader. Makabe stalled Naito’s momentum by finally getting off the mark while Yano scored an upset over Minoru Suzuki. Karl Anderson and Yujiro have had fantastic starts to the tournament, and both are now on 6pts, Yujiro scoring yet another big win today by beating Nagata – meaning he has defeated Kojima, Anderson, and Nagata on successive shows. Lance Archer also won big by overcoming Tenzan while Rush’s good start has been slowed down and he lost to MVP today.

    * 21,615 people in Japan watched New Japan’s first ever iPPV according to forum regular enuhito, which is a huge success for a first time attempt. New Japan does have hopes to make these iPPVs international eventually and if/when that occurs I’ll be sure to let everyone know.

What's the purpose of copy and pasting results from a website without some context? It's junking up the thread.

BTW: I have a massive G1 video load to share with you guys soon. I've had a funeral recently and hiring season occurring now so I could not post video updates as I got them.

Bushiroad, the company that owns New Japan Pro Wrestling, was the sponsor of this week's WWE live events from Tokyo, Japan. WWE was running the same building that New Japan runs and are direct competitors in the market.

-- Following the WWE live event at Sumo Hall, many New Japan fans were questioning why they do not see an elaborate stage and higher production values like WWE used for their show.

-- Several fans showed up to WWE's Japan shows this week dressed as Damien Sandow, including robes and Sandow's trademark beard. Unfortunately for those fans, Mr. Sandown was not booked for the tour.

I have no idea, and if I wasn't watching the tourney already, I'd be mad that the results were being spoiled without said context.

As for those videos, yes please! .

Hell, if only a few people are interested, send it via pm.

    Well, G1 is finished.

I'm happy with the results, and apparently, NJPW were happy with Shelton Benjamin. So hey, maybe he'll get more booking at NJPW, instead of being mediocre with Haas at ROH.

    But, the returns of spoilers:
    Sakuraba and Shibata
end of spoilers shocked the heck out of me.

that is a trip. i sometimes wonder how things would've been different if shibata had never left, they were really high on him. i remember he basically squashed tanahashi one time on a big show.

forgot to say how wild it was that machine gun went to the G-1 finals this year considering the line up. good stuff.

    REVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW TIME!!!!!!!!

    NJPW 11/13/2010

    1. Koji Kanemoto/Tiger Mask vs. Fujita Jr Hayato/Taro Nohashi. (B) always nice when aniki & jr hayato are across the ring from each other, so much attitude and i imagine much like jr is like a young kanemoto, in the future he will be like kanemoto is now. surprising to see a show of mutual respect post match.

    2. Gedo/Jado vs. AKIRA/KUSHIDA. (B) decent. i think kushida has potential. good finish

    3. Davey Richards/Rocky Romero vs. NOSAWA/FUJITA. (A) better than xpected, NOSAWA & FUJITA actually do some work and are lighter on the shenanigans. nice match.

    4. Prince Devitt/Ryusuke Taguchi vs. La Sombra/Mascara Dorada. (A) very good for it's place on the card. fast paced with nice looking spots. luchadores gave them a good run for their money, everybody came out looking good

    5. Satoshi Kojima/Masaaki Mochizuki/Super Shisa vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi/Jushin Liger/El Samurai awesome, odd but awesome. not sure how the DG guys saw their way into things, and to be honest i think i would've rather saw kojima & mochi vs liger & tanahahsi as i wanted more tanahashi vs mochi and kojima vs liger action, but still this was pretty bad ass and everybody got their moments to shine

FINAL:6. Gedo/Jado vs. Davey Richards/Rocky Romero. very damn good. when i think of gedo & jado i just think of solid tag workers, but here they really step up and perform on a higher level than i'm used to seeing them on. very good shit by all guys. i think romero is very underutilized in the US. he does that kicky submission style w/o all the "super intense" angry little guy schtick. kinda like a TJP with more personality.

overall good buy at $3, nothing must see but everything on the card was worth watching.

I've had family in town, been chewing up a lot of time! This week is catching up on wrestling week!

Got this week's CMLL recorded, but I finally watched last week's CMLL. Tag match between Ultimo Guerrero/Dragon Rojo and Atlantis/Diamante Azul - was pretty good. I hate to admit it, but every time I see Ultimo Guerrero, the thought that a gold tooth would look really awesome runs through my mind. The main was the debut of Nuevo Mistico, he got the chance to shine, but didn't factor into the finish. Plus, he got his mask ripped open, and long story short, Roosh got all the great hair in the family. Also, Valiente looked really good.

Also of note, a spectacular booty shot of one of the chicas. Those cameramen know what's up.
