Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order
on top of that they are offering a 2 disc owen hart compilation for FREE http://new.ivpvideos2.com/product_in...oducts_id=8272 or if you don't want to order you can download it for free http://new.ivpvideos2.com/product_in...oducts_id=8271
they also offer a sampler dvd for .25 also up for free download.

Taped 9/10/10 - Flashing Tour:
1. Minoru Suzuki vs. Minoru Tanaka. disappointing, not bad really but disappointing in lack of both length and competitiveness.
2. BUSHI vs. MAZADA - MASK vs. HAIR Match good. very satisfying payoff to their feud with some cool spots along the way.
3. Keiji Mutoh vs. Masakatsu Funaki. decent. VERY ground based match up, dragged a little here and there though.
Taped 9/10/10 - Flashing Tour:
4. Shuji Kondo/Hiroshi Yamato vs. Kaz Hayashi/KAI. very good and xciting match up. all of these guys can go and do so here.
5. Prelim highlights...
6. Kohei Suwama/Masayuki Kono vs. Manabu Soya/Seiya Sanada AWESOME. tag champs vs tag champs in a tag tourney final. justb great work. suwama & kono are freaking monsters and sanada & soya just have a ton of fire in them. great battle and i'm digging both teams a lot.
over all OK buy. nothing must see but the main event is more than worth watching

On today's episode of "How to f**k up in wrestling", we go to Japan for drug possession charges. It was weed. Simple enough...
Except they were in Japan.
The arrested suspects are Nosawa Rongai (dumb a$$ Puro-Juggalo, previously got blackballed from All-Japan for previous dumb stuff) and Io Shirai (REALLY screwed up her young life with this one charge.) Her older sister (Mio Shirai), of whom they were former tag partners, but now estranged, is most likely ticked/saddened.
To compare, a dude got charged with only 5% of the weed these two had, and was jailed for 5 years and forever blackballed from the Japanese wrestling scene. They are so screwed, unless one completely pins the blame on the other.
Seriously, Japan's drug laws are vicious, and they thought they could get away with it.
But then again, maybe they got the "Rongai", Lol.
You just have to be cool about it...
never much of a fan of nosawa(i have seen him live though *barry horowitz style pat on own back*) but that sucks. i wonder how much they had??
poor guy likely got used to weed being passed around like a........lita in the US and mexico.

What I've seen of him, I generally liked.
I guess there was stuff inside the frame of a picture or drawing or something. I can't imagine it was a ton. But Japan's not the West Coast, you know? I don't think it takes much to get in crazy trouble over there.
But I'm a bigger fan of the list of escapades he's piling up.
he's cool in tags, i like some of his antics(though he's no brother YASSHI, damn i miss him), and seems like a fun dude, remember the mexico amigos or the NOSAWA BOM-BA-YE shows?? but yeah i bet he got used to that US/mexico everybody blazes it up mindset.
nosawa booked stuff like bret kikutaro vs shawn antonio honda michaels, so he's OK in my book

CMLL!!!
A pair of trios matches this week. The first was okay (Angel Azteca Jr/Fuego/Pegasso vs. Skandalo/Hooligan/Nitro), depending on who was in the match at the time. No dives though, which might be the first time in a while that I've seen a lucha match with no dives at all.
The second match was another in the build to Black Warrior and Rey Escorpion's hair vs. hair match (Black Warrior/Delta/Guerrero Maya Jr vs. Escorpion/Olimpico/Psicosis). Better action, but still no dives until the third fall!
I keep seeing mentions of Mr. Niebla showing up possibly intoxicated for his matches (and still being allowed to wrestle). Too bad, Niebla's been a lot of fun. But that's not a good situation.

i'm really digging this years line up for BOSJ, as mentioned about nosawa getting busted, he was doing the latest incarnation of the black tiger gimmick so with him out they brought up one of the young guys, good opportunity for him.
here's a look at the final line up

CMLL!
Stuka Jr. vs. Ephesto (relampago) - good back and forth, and they actually seemed to get more motivated to pick up the win as the clock kept ticking. Stuka had one really nice dive - the one he does from the top rope backwards over the ring post. Liked it!
Aereo/Astral/Electrico vs. Peq. Olimpico/Peq. Nitro/Mercurio - Astral's pretty good, but I didn't think Electrico or Mercurio were all that great. Decent match, though, screwy finish. Took a couple of replays to figure WTF happened at the end.
Black Warrior/Delta/Guererro Maya Jr. vs. Rey Escorpion/Psicosis/Kraneo - last build for the hair vs. hair match. The main appeal of this one was Escorpion vs. Warrior, and that stuff was really good. Also, bonus points for Kraneo throwing Mije about 12 feet into the air (seriously, a 300 lb guy can totally throw a little person high up in the air - if I see a GIF, I'll have to post it) for a splash to take the first fall. I liked the ending - Escorpion has pushed Black Warrior too far, and he's gone bonkers. Good cliffhanger for the hair match (even though it took place yesterday, and I already know who won).
All in all, a good show. When the third match was over, I couldn't believe the hour was up. It felt like I hadn't even watched half an hour yet.
i only saw the main event but it was pretty good. guerrero maya's mask is freaking awesome, so was the spot where mije got tossed. i think it was guerrero maya who did an awesome dive in the match, might've been delta though.
pretty surprising how well angel de oro is doing in NJPW's BOSJ right now.
