    REVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW TIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

NJPW 04/01/2011 got this from ivp, this is the matchlisting from the site but the 1st 2 matches actually aren't on the dvd)
    1. Tiger Mask & Hiromu Takahashi vs Tama Tonga & King Fale (9:03)
    2. Wataru Inoue, Jushin Thunder Liger & Koji Kanemoto vs Takashi Iizuka, Jado & Gedo (8:58)

    3. Giant Bernard, Karl Anderson & Tomoaki Honma vs Yujiro Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito & Tomohiro Ishii really good and lots of fun. once again honma isn't just there to do the job. just solid work all around great as an opener.

    4. New Japan Cup - Round 2: Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs Toru Yano not bad but i didn't care for it. not into either guy.

    5. New Japan Cup - Round 2: Manabu Nakanishi vs Shinsuke Nakamura good. not a fan of nakanishi but shinsuke got a good match out of him. some cool spots along the way.

    6. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title: Prince Devitt vs KUSHIDA good, much more competitive than i xpected, or maybe even than it should've been, but still a good match.

    7. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Satoshi Kojima, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi awesome. TAKA & taichi are great as a heel team and this really does a great job in wanting to see them against apollo 55, everyone else also does a great job in their roles as well.

    8. New Japan Cup - Round 2: Togi Makabe vs MVP pretty damn good. king kong vs black godzilla. nice to see MVP heel it up in japan, the verba xchanges in the beginning of the match with MVP speaking japanese and makabe speaking english was awesome. good back and forth stuff start to finish.

    9. New Japan Cup - Round 2: Yuji Nagata vs Masato Tanaka not the best match i've seen between the 2 but a very solid main event none the less. the finishing move is hit precisely and looks devastating.

overall a solid buy at $3 though nothing is must see.

Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

Still haven't got around to watching that whole new japan show, i will never be a real wrestling fan at this rate.
I just really wanted to see the main event and the low ki match though!

In celebration of Okada not destroying his career by going to the E.

You know he might still go right?
The reason WWE wanted him and not tanahashi is because he's younger, but new japan only signs guys to one year deals. January of next year he's out of contract again, and he might just be building a bigger name in japan so if he does decide to go and things don't work out, when he comes back it will be a bigger deal.

but if he had left this year NJPW could very well of held it against him, as mentioned earlier they gave him a BIG break in pushing him the way they did and they don't even actually need him. had he left now and then came back after getting yamatatsu'ed they wouldn't have to give him his spot back. goto, naito, and even anderson are all right there waiting/wishing for an opportunity like he got.

Could have been that too, New Japan is also in a better spot now then it's been in years since those ippvs did so well for them.
So he might have just gotten a better contract than what wwe was offering him soon.

    NJPW/CMLL, 1/18/13 (Samurai! TV)
    Tokyo Korakuen Hall
    1,650 Fans

    1. Tama Tonga & Titan beat Euforia & OKUMURA (8:17) when Tonga used the Headshrinker on Euforia.
    2. Yujiro Takahashi, Tomohiro Ishii & Rey Escorpion beat Ryusuke Taguchi, BUSHI & Diamante (8:29) when Escorpion used the Aguijon Mortal on Diamante.
    3. Rush beat YOSHI-HASHI (11:08) with the Rush Driver.
    4. Volador Jr., TAKA Michinoku Kaientai Dojo & Taichi beat La Mascara, Mascara Dorada & Maximo (9:38) when Volador used an avalanche-style Sliced Bread on La Mascara.
    5. Special 6 Man Tag Match: Mephisto, Jado & Gedo beat Atlantis, Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask (11:21) when Mephisto used the Devil’s Wings on Atlantis.
    6. Special Singles Match: Prince Devitt beat Dragon Rojo Jr. (10:21) with the Bloody Sunday.
    7. Special Tag Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi & La Sombra beat Shinsuke Nakamura & Misterioso Jr. (13:41) when Sombra used a senton bomb on Misterioso.

    * The first of three shows in three days at Korakuen for the expanded “FANTASTICA MANIA” helped set up some of the title matches on the next two shows.

    * New Japan has signed BUSHI full-time from All Japan. The move was originally a “loan” like you would see in football/soccer for BUSHI to gain experience in a new environment but New Japan has been so impressed by the masked man that they spoke to All Japan president Masayuki Uchida about it and an agreement was made. A press conference was held with New Japan president Sugabayashi, All Japan president Uchida, and BUSHI himself where the harmonious transfer was announced.
looks like a decent show to kick off the tour, volador always with the spiffy outfit(avatar)
