Taped 9/14 - Round 1 Highlights:
1. Sonjay Dutt vs. Madoka; Munenori Sawa vs. Yuzuru Saito. seemed like cool matches, i'm not familiar with saito but he seems decent. dutt is using his moonsault stomp, madoka is good.
2.Taped 9/16 - Round 2 Highlights: Munenori Sawa vs. Tyson Dux; Kaijin Habu Otoko vs. Sonjay Dutt; Minoru Fujita vs. Takuya Sugawara; Ikuto Hidaka vs. Hikaru Sato. these matches looked like they were good, especially hidaka vs sato, wish i could've seen that match in full. i'd never seen kaijin habu otoko, he's got a snake gimmick going and a cool look, pretty good in the ring too.
Taped 9/19:
3. Tenka-Ichi Jr. - Semi Final: Ikuto Hidaka vs. Munenori Sawa. good stuff, lots of strikes and some good matwork.
4. Tenka-Ichi Jr. - Semi Final: Kaijin Habu Otoko vs. Minoru Fujita. decent, nice to see fujita really go, it's ben awhile for me.
5. Tenka-Ichi Jr. Special Six Man Tag Match: Sonjay Dutt/Madoka/Yuzuru Saito vs. Takuya Sugawara/Hikaru Sato/Tyson Dux. lots of fun, a little long. saito impressed me. tyson dux looks like the lovechild of john cena & tyson kid. i like his style for zero1 though, it's different for a jr and more power based.
6. Emblem vs. Euro1: Shinjiro Otani/Masato Tanaka vs. Ryuji Sai/Joe Legend.OK, always nice to see emblem and sai but joe legend ragged it down for me.
7. World Heavyweight Title: Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Kohei Sato. FUKN AWESOME!! i'm a big fan of both these guys and they delivered. hard strikes and big suplexes aplenty.
8. Tenka-Ichi Jr. - Final: Ikuto Hidaka vs. Kaijin Habu Otoko. pretty damn good. hidaka is great as always and otoko has made a fan out of me. after seeing some footage of him in osaka pro i'm interested in seeing a show, looks like lots of fun.
overall, ok buy at $6, nothing must see xcept sekimoto/sato if you're a fan of them.

Naito scored another big win over Nakamura in the semi final, while Okada defeated Tenzan in their first ever singles match. Good point. You know, there better not be any of that BS like with Blue Panther and Negro Casas where they double DQ'd and both got their head shaved. Mexico couldn't handle that much loss of natural resources all at one time, and I wouldn't want them to, either.

* Is it the year of Tetsuya Naito? Day two of the G1 saw more excitement and upsets with the biggest result seeing Naito defeat “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada in a rematch of their March classic in the same building for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. Last year’s finalist Naito has now beaten Nakamura and Okada, arguably his two toughest opponents, on back to back shows. A bad day for CHAOS also saw Nakamura lose again in another rematch, this time from his very recent IWGP Intercontinental Title win against Hirooki Goto, putting Shinsuke at 0-2. Makabe also slipped to 0-2 after a defeat against MVP, while Shelton Benjamin bounced back from his opening day loss to Tanahashi by beating NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji to match Maru’s 1-1 record. Karl Anderson has started the G1 well with two wins, today’s huge victory over Suzuki moving him to 4pts, while the man he defeated on day one Nagata beat Yano meaning another loss for CHAOS on a bad day for the group. CMLL’s Rush is off to a flying start and picked up his second victory today by beating Suzuki Gun’s Lance Archer. And Yujiro Takahashi made sure it wasn’t a complete defeat for CHAOS with a huge win over 2010 G1 winner Kojima.
