    fukyes!!!!
Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

    REVIEEEEEEEEEEW TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!

    NJPW 10/11/2010

    1. Manabu Nakanishi vs. Tama Tonga ok, nothing special but tonga continues to grow on me as a wild islander.

    2. Giant Bernard, Karl Anderson & Tiger Mask vs. Takashi Iizuka, Yujiro Takahashi & Tomohiro Ishii good action but the antics from CHAOS make the end result predictable causing the actual match to be harder to enjoy as you're just waiting for the end.

    3. Jushin Thunder Liger Return Match: Masato Tanaka, Jado & Gedo vs. Jushin Thunder Liger, Wataru Inoue & Tomoaki Honma good. tanaka, gedo & jado are pretty cool as a trio. would like to see tanaka vs honma in a hardcore type of match.

    4. Special Singles Match: TAJIRI vs. Toru Yano not really into it though there were some cool moments. bigger fans of tajiri and yano's stuff should enjoy.

    5. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega vs. Prince Devitt & Ryusuke Taguchi (c) pretty damn good. all out action, fast paced and high flying, well placed on the card as well.

    6. NJPW vs. NOAH Special Tag Match: Yuji Nagata & Koji Kanemoto vs. Go Shiozaki & Atsushi Aoki AWESOME. i found myself cheering out loud watching this in my living room at like 4am. just in total mark mode for NJPW to beat NOAH, all 4 guys did a great job pulling me in, the HW's match up well against each other as do the jrs, but the cross match ups are equally interesting. good stuff from beginning to end.

    7. Special Singles Match: Hirooki Goto vs. Shinsuke Nakamura FUKN AWESOME. damn this was good, i'm a big fan of both guys. the match was built & played well off the tag they had on 9/26(see last revieeeeew tiiime for deets). everything was on point, great great match and a step forward for the company.

    8. Special Singles Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tetsuya NaitoMORE OF THE SAME AWESOME. seriously, though the match was quite different my comments are the same(was built and played well of the same tag match the month before). it's like the match before but roles reversed as far as heel/face & veteran/uprising star, and the styles are different of course as this is about speed, flying and limbwork as opposed to the power, hard strikes, and throws of the match before.

    9. IWGP Heavyweight Title: Satoshi Kojima vs. Togi Makabe (c) GREAT. i'm not really a fan of makabe but he carries his weight as champ. this good power vs power 2 bulls locking horns type shit and both guys deliver the goods. kept my attention all the way through. due to being so far behind in my actual viewing i had forgot who won this match which was really nice.

overall, BUY THIS MOTHERFUCKER or download it or whatever but see it. starts off kind of slow but the last 5 matches just catch fire and burn hot all the way to the end.

no CMLL this week but i wanted to say after last week i fully support mistico la nueva era. it was so cool to bring out fray tormenta to bless and bestow the mask on upon dragon lee like that. for those who don't know, tormenta was a real life priest who ran an orphanage and wrestled at night and was the kayfabe mentor to the original mistico.

Perhaps one of you guys familar with Japan can help me here.
I was reading about how New Japan's G1 tournmanet starts soon, and was going to make it a point to watch since the matches are suppose to be very good and...you know, it's a tournament so i get to see lots of guys in short order and don't need to understand anything but who wins and loses.
Anyway, Meltzer and somebody else were going over it and Meltzer, when speaking on Shelton Benjamin remarked that "He's going to have a really hard time in this tournament, as he isn't quite on the level of a lot of these guys." and then made some conditioning remarks.
Now, i'm not sure what he ment, because to me, Benjamin is really friggen good, and i've seen him wrestle recently and he doesn't seem to be out of shape. Any thoughts from the guys more familar with japan?

I've been dipping into cubsfan's YouTube stuff lately - I watched the AAA Chessman/Brutus Magnus vs. Dark Cuervo/Dark Ozz match this week. Gonna have to watch the Teddy Hart vs. Jack Evans match, too.

    CMLL!!!

Goya Kong/Estrellita/Marcela vs. Lluvia/Princess Shugei/??? - Good women's match. I'm more and more of a fan of Marcela the more I see her. Goya Kong was unmasked for her first full TV match this week, also.

Rush/Marco Corleone/La Sombra vs. Averno/Mephisto/Volador Jr. - Volador had a Captain America outfit this week, which I suppose would make you a rudo in Mexico. First fall was comedy (good stuff using Marco's height/jumping skills). Good dives (La Sombra's got hops!), decent (if short) ending sequence involving the two guys you'd want to watch for twenty minutes, if at all possible.

1st off FOCK DA MELTZ, now with that out of the way while i agree that shelton is simply not as good as tanahashi, kojima, nagata, & suzuki(whom are all in his block) i don't think there will be a problem. none of them are going to intentionally make him look bad or blow him up(if conditioning is a factor).

really they must like him since IIRC shelton was only brought in to be MVP's partner because somebody else couldn't make it.
