if you dig what you see in K-dojo you should likely check out M(ichinoku)- pro. it's kind of the predecessor to K(aientai)-dojo. late 90's stuff was especially awesome, hakushi vs undertaker!!

just a reminder that IVPvideos.com has their black friday sale going through the end of the month. 40% off all orders or if you spend over $100 you can get 45% off. i ordered 34 discs which came out to about $102 and paid $63 s&h included. they have a lot of cool shit if you like to see some old favorites or favorite indy guys doing their thing in japan either by whole shows or compilation.

CMLL was good tonight, only 2 matches as usual so a lot of commercials so it's best to DVR it. nice 6man with metro, delta, & guerrero maya vs vangelis, okamura, & yoshihashi. solid action through out, the 3 young faces are all pretty impressive with delta standing out the most to me and heels do a good job of making them look good. vangelis is pretty cool with his nazi-esque gimmick(only in mexico can this type of shit work). metro acts like a dick post match so he could be turning soon.
the welterweight title match between lyger & dragon rojo jr was HOT, or gully as they say in the streets. really digging lygers attire and rojo does a good job heeling. post match shenans with the corner men ultimo guerrero(for rojo) and atlantis(for lyger).
right after CMLL wrapped they showed el santo y blue demon contra los monstruos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr1X8HQVekc
i recorded it but haven't watched it yet, but my god it looks AWESOME!!

GOD DAMNED FUTBOL!!!! no CMLL this week, on top of that it seems on gala they're now showing an el santo y blue demon movie after CMLL every week and the game cut into that toothis week was el santo y blue demon en el mundo del muertos. kind of a zombie apocalypse type thing.
contra los monstruos last week was pretty awesome, the title was kind of misleading though since blue demon was possessed the whole movie and fighting against santo.
did anybody order anything during the IVP sale?? if so what did you get?? i got(along with a bunch on NJPW 2010) a large chunk of M-pro from 97, the shit that got TAKA, togo, funaki, & tieoh signed to the WWF. some crazy looking cards for xample

Did any Japanese talent get WWE tryouts during the tour of Japan recently?

REVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NJPW 05/03/2010
1. AKIRA/Tiger Mask/Tomoaki Honma vs. Takashi Iizuka/Tomohiro Ishii/Gedo decent opener, nothing special. as much as i love NJPW it always saddens me the way they use honma. if you've ever seen honma in his glory days in BJW you'll know what i mean.
2. Manabu Nakanishi vs. King Fale. this is pretty bad. fale has not yet impressed me.
3. Negro Casas vs. Jushin Liger - CMLL Middleweight Title this is good. the old guys can still go and do nice work here. likely more enjoyable to those familiar with both guys and can appreciate the pace.
4. Yujiro/Tetsuya Naito vs. Yuji Nagata/Wataru Inoue vs. Giant Bernard/Karl Anderson - IWGP Tag Title - 3 Way Match. this is also pretty good and kind of a rarity in japanese wrestling. there's a bit of a learning curve for these types of matches but still the match was good.
5. Hirooki Goto vs. Masato Tanaka. AWESOME. these guys deliver once again and this match builds well off the last time they faced each other.
6. Naomichi Marufuji vs. Ryusuke Taguchi - IWGP Jr. Title very good, and i'm not a fan of either guy. i think the stuff they DIDN'T do is what made the match more enjoyable. they didn't get carried away and turn it into a NOAH type match. perfect for it's spot on the card.
7. Toru Yano vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. good. seems tanahashi can make a match with anybody interesting because i usually zone out when yano wrestles.
8. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Togi Makabe - IWGP Title AWESOME. i hate makabe but i appreciate what he brings to the table. this is a great battle and makabe is worthy of holding a top spot along side nak, tanahashi, and goto.

sadly no subtitles on galavision. from what i hear the dvds have subtitles but the translation is so bad it adds even more to the awesomeness. between these movies and the new beavis and butthead stuff i was compelled to buy a sack, so i just blaze one up and don't even care about the subtitles.

This pre-emption stuff is ridiculous.
I did download and watch the latest Averno vs. La Mascara title match, which was pretty good. They've managed to have different singles matches each time, this was the work-a-body-part match. Unusual for lucha, but held together pretty well. And Mascara did sell the leg well throughout the match. It's worth tracking down.
this week blue demon is w/o santo in "Mansion de las Siete Momias" aka the mansion of the 7 mummies. hopefully no god damn futbol.
Sophia de la Garza (Maria Cardinal) is having a bad week. Not only has her father just died, but she has inherited quite a bizarre problem. Sophia’s father, you see, was the reincarnation of an earlier de la Garza, who was governor of the town of Antigua Guatemala. 17th century de la Garza had made a pact with the devil that not only gave the horned one possession of his own soul but also those of the people he governed (which does not sound like non-heretic Catholic theology to me). Fortunately for them, the governor later repented, and managed to find some sort of loophole in his contract with Satan that leads to him being reincarnated in his male descendents and somehow being able to protect the souls in his care from his former master.
Unfortunately, de la Garza cannot be reincarnated as a woman and has no children beside Sophia. Sophia’s only way to keep her father’s soul and those of everyone else safe is to take possession of the treasure of the conquistadores that is another part of her inheritance and giving it to the descendents of the former slaves of the town. But before she can actually take possession of the treasure, Sophia has to survive three increasingly strange tests (the best one of which is about catching a rotating and biting skull), somehow fight the seven mummies guarding the treasure, see through the intrigues of three immortal servants of Satan and find out that her boyfriend is a jerk.
Fortunately, Blue Demon (hooray!) and his friend Superzan (boo!) have been invited by said boyfriend jerk to beautiful (at least that’s what the film tells us repeatedly) Antigua Guatemala for a vacation, and are in their function as luchadores only too willing and able to help a damsel in distress out by wrestling a few mummies and evil boyfriends. Sophia’s case is further helped by a mysterious mute hunchback and the painful comic relief stylings of a creature named Manolino.

the most recent NJPW show looks fantastic

wrestle kingdom is shaping up.1. Karl Anderson & Killer Rabbit beat Jado & Gedo (4:47) when Rabbit used the Mochitsuki Drop on Gedo.
2. Toru Yano, Yujiro Takahashi, Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero beat Tomoaki Honma, Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi & Tama Tonga (9:33) when Romero used a backslide on Taguchi.
3. Special Tag Match: Takashi Sugiura Pro Wrestling NOAH & Atsushi Aoki Pro Wrestling NOAH beat Hirooki Goto & KUSHIDA (11:13) when Sugiura used an Olympic slam on KUSHIDA.
4. Special Tag Match: Yoshihiro Takayama & Lance Archer beat Togi Makabe & Wataru Inoue (10:28) when Takayama used a running kneelift on Inoue.
5. Special Tag Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima beat Takashi Iizuka & Hideo Saito (10:25) when Tenzan used the Anaconda Vice on Iizuka.
6. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title: Prince Devitt (c) beat Davey Richards (12:16) with the Bloody Sunday (2nd defense).
7. IWGP Intercontinental Title: Masato Tanaka ZERO1 (c) beat MVP (10:09) with the Sliding D (2nd defense).
8. Special Singles Match: Minoru Suzuki beat Giant Bernard (11:53) with a Gotch-style piledriver.
9. Special Singles Match: Shinsuke Nakamura beat Tetsuya Naito (13:15) with the Boma Ye.
10. IWGP Heavyweight Title: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) beat Yuji Nagata (30:16) with the High Fly Flow (10th defense).
* Hiroshi Tanahashi tied Yuji Nagata’s V10 defense record of the IWGP Heavyweight Title by beating the man himself in a half hour epic today in Aichi. Beating Nagata means that if Tanahashi wins his next defense he will smash Nagata’s defense record and enhance his growing legacy. Tanahashi was confronted after the match by Minoru Suzuki, who had beaten Giant Bernard earlier, and who demanded to be Tanahashi’s Tokyo Dome opponent in January, which will mark the one-year anniversary of Tana’s title win, so this looks to be the main event of WKVI.
* The much awaited G1 Climax 2011 final rematch went the same way with CHAOS leader Nakamura pinning Naito in a fiery match following his Boma Ye, Nakamura showing he is still a leading man in New Japan despite Tanahashi’s near monopoly of the title.
* Masato Tanaka continues to impress as IWGP Intercontinental Title by withstanding the challenge of the man he took it off, MVP. Tanaka pinned the former WWE superstar after smashing him with the Sliding D.
* Devitt’s second reign as IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion also continued as he beat rival Davey Richards in his V2 defense. Devitt has already repeated his successful defenses against Richards and TAKA from his first reign now in his current reign.
* TenKoji’s reunion went without a hitch as they bested CHAOS’ crazy duo of Iizuka & Saito, Tenzan forcing Iizuka to tap out. The big talking point after the match came when CHAOS appeared to kick the mentally unstable Saito out of their faction!
* The two other special tag matches both seemed to suggest singles matches at the Tokyo Dome: Makabe vs. Takayama and Goto vs. Sugiura, both of which would continue old rivalries.
Masakatsu Funaki returns to his original home at last! New Japan announced five matches for “NJPW 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR ~ WRESTLE KINGDOM VI IN TOKYO DOME”, Japanese professional wrestling’s annual super-show at the Tokyo Dome in January. Funaki, who many New Japan fans have long waited to see in the company where he was trained, teams up with Masayuki Kono against Yuji Nagata & Wataru Inoue in a special tag match. New Japan and NOAH go to war as old rivals Hirooki Goto and Takashi Sugiura lock horns, while CHAOS’ Shinsuke Nakamura & Toru Yano do battle with the duo of GHC Heavyweight Champion, Go Shiozaki, and Naomichi Marufuji. TenKoji’s revival grants them a shot at the most dominant IWGP Tag Team Champions in history, Bad Intentions, meaning whether they win or lose, Bernard & Anderson’s reign will have gone from 2010, all the way 2011, and into 2012. And of course, as we all knew, Hiroshi Tanahashi attempts to become the most successful IWGP Heavyweight Champion to ever live as he makes his V11 defense of the prestigious belt against Minoru Suzuki in the main event. More matches are yet to be added but these five promise lots of excitement.
