Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

Los Ice Creams and Ophidian vs. The Colony on RoH today. Fuck yeah. Ultramantis on commentary? Even better.

    Dear ROH,

Live streaming is hard, isn't it?
Technical support and credible producing takes a lot of time, money, and other resources, doesn't it?
GoFight Live was frustrating, wasn't it?
IPPVs are a complicated business, isn't it?
    Refunds suck, don't they?

Next time, don't let Kevin "Hermie" Kelly piss off your clients inadvertently, thus leaving you to your own devices, alright?
You just have to be cool about it...

"While there are people who have been able to log in and order today's ROH Border Wars PPV, the vast majority have been getting a constant page not available. After the screw ups with the last set of iPPVs and the problems on Wednesday, I'd consider another iPPV issue tonight as disastrous for the company."

Worst part is: It was a website issue, not video quality issue. I got the stream back, and the show, and video quality, is great right now.

Seriously, this sucks so bad for the wrestlers, but enough is enough. This needs to be top priority after this weekend.

Enough stupid s**t happened in the production side of the PPV... so... ROH made up for it in spades!

bout time they got their head out of their asses. the fact that tyler black was champ before steen, and hero, claudio, & generico never were sums up my feelings about that.

so did anybody watch evolve this weekend??

Agreed about the title issue. Heck, I could even add Alex Shelley to your list (back when Alex Shelley had momentum). But the worst one, to me, was Claudio, because his descent back down into the mid-card hit him the hardest (see: horrible Embassy feud).

But seriously, I understood that Generico has a LOT of commitments internationally, but Chris Hero not getting the title before that Aries-Black-Strong-Edwards-Richards mess was ridiculous. Hero, especially at that point in ROH, was definitely a better choice than at least Edwards and Black. Heck, if he was still in ROH during that time, he would have been twice the champ Jerry Lynn was (booking did no favors for Jerry, it wasn't his fault).

Meanwhile, Evolve 13, from what I heard, was great, just like Evolve 12. Seems like they've gotten the hang of things over there.

don't even get me started on mr JL. i'm sure he did the best he could but that was a bad idea from the get go, can't believe i forgot to mention him. i mean maybe if he had a long storied history in RoH or something but....

you got results for the evolve shows??

You forgot Evolve 12, gryphon. Same weekend.

    Matches to watch:

    12
Finlay and Jon Davis was good (with a few screw ups).
AR Fox vs. Callihan was good, even with the stipulation (Evolution's End, see: Fight Without Honor)
Chuck Taylor and Silas Young vs. Samurai Del Sol and Johnny Gargano was nice, makes me want to see more of Samurai Del Sol.
Generico vs. Ricochet wasn't at the level of their PWG match, but still great.

    13
El Generico and Sami Callihan finally found chemistry. Greatness was the result.
A.R. Fox vs. Jigsaw vs. Samuray Del Sol vs. Ricochet: Too much talent not to be good.
Gargano and AR Fox was really good. Plus, the sentimental moment with Gargano and the 10 year old girl after the match was great.
You just have to be cool about it...
