    Oh yeah!

The Human Tornado did return last night! Probably the best thing I hear about last night (besides watching Skyfall, some great matches from NJPW's IPPV, and seeing Laughter7 end another match quickly).

would be fucking AWESOME if he made a fulltime comeback.
Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

I don't really talk much about the Gabe promotions (Evolve and DGUSA) but I really have this to say.

D.U.F is annoying... but dear god, somebody get The Scene out of any promotion I want to watch in the future. Break them up, repackage them, do anything to them. Just do something to make them not the wastes of space that they are...

i'm pretty much with C- on that, though they don't really bother me much(they likely would if i watched more often) they do seem like wastes of space. probably work cheap.

Not only is there a PWG event this weekend, BUT...

Chikara's last show this year is tomorrow. Under the Hood.

I'm expecting a whole lot of craziness to happen in this event. With the way things have been building up, I'm expecting something big.

Watching ACW's Queen of Queens tourney. (there are male matches, so that's why I'm not putting it in the Women's wrestling thread)

Good GOD, Athena's athletic. She's doing Shelton Benjamin (landing monkey flips) and The Rock (kip ups) spots to the tee.

That was a fun first round from Athena and Su Yung. Plenty of spots I haven't seen from both wrestlers. I guess Su was right, she did slap Athena's ass. To tap out that is.

Von Eerie vs Veda Scott was pretty fun too. A better match than I'm used to seeing from both of them. But nothing out of the ordinary.

Well, that might be Match of the Night. Summerlyn and Jazz tore it the hell up. Fantastic match. I wish Rachel was around in promotions beyond Texas though.

And it's not ACW without some wackiness. Meet the Zombie vs Zombie Hunter match. Lady Poison (Jessica James' Muta persona) vs Jessicka Havok. Pretty fun match. I missed watching Jessica James go.

Matthew Palmer vs Jazz's husband Rodney Mack was WAY too quick, but I guess Palmer is injured so it makes sense. That's what happens when you fall off balcony's and roofs.

The 4 team tag match was fun. It helped me see who's in the tag division of ACW. Pretty fun teams, but Dream Warriors seem to be the favorites of the crowd. Holy shit at the Lost Boys entrance though (Jason Silver purposely fell off the side of the second story stairs. Apparently, the landing went fine, but jeezus talk about method acting).

Portia vs Angel Blue continued the Portia/Robert Evans feud. I just wish we could see the video Portia saw that made her lose.

Athena vs Von Eerie was alright. Again, not awesome. But the funny thing is that they have similar styles, but for someone who has been traveling far more than Athena, Von Eerie is plenty worse at it. But then again, Athena and Summerlyn are just very very good wrestlers.

Summerlyn vs Havok was really fun. But this match and Athena's match highlighted an issue I've noticed with Jessicka Havok: she can sell, but it is very easy to tell when she's avoiding bumps or avoiding to stiff someone. That's totally the ant-thesis of how she's supposed to wrestle, with her style. This is where I think ladies like Hailey Hatred and to a much lesser extent, Kalamity have over her: they bump and stiff quite a bit, and when they don't, it's hard to tell.

Outside of that flaw, both Havok matches (the semis and the finals) were great. I absolutely LOVED seeing the "hardcore" variation of Athena's infamous finisher, the O-Face. And Havok sold it extremely well.

Now, it's off to watch two CHIKARA shows before the finale tomorrow.

Oh, and the CHIKARA Season Finale is tomorrow. Go on Smart Mark Video to watch it. This season has been building up to something big, even after all the talent CHIKARA has lost.

Oh, and I found the Jason Silver spot.

The commentator's reaction totally matched mine.
