Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

Before i post this, let me point out that RoH big ppvs average 4-600 people, and TNA house shows do attendence of 4-600 people, and that's with a million person tv audience, so keep that in mind when reading this.
"As it turned out, the numbers being bandied about at the Extreme Reunion show were way inflated. The actual attendance was 1,700 and the gate was less than $75,000. That was still a very successful independent show which those involved took as a sign there is still a demand for an ECW style product, but the five partners in charge actually only made a very small profit on the show

Ok seriously, how in the world are we supposed to cheer for Davey and ROH? I'm assuming we don't, but still.
Great promo from Steen.
I guess given how this week's ROH TV played out with Steen attacking Kyle after the bell( even though Kyle is a heel and Davey has been ignoring the hell things Kyle has been doing ) we're suppose to side a little with Davey, I'm all Steen as the man has made the title picture interesting even though for th efirst part he wasn't involved in it
Child Of The Atom Smasher
I just realized something. In light of a lack of a great Indy Tag Team right now (I would say the Smash Bros are one of my current favorites)...
I miss the Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian only, sorry Gresham and other people). So. So. Much.
Poor Amasis.
You just have to be cool about it...
Sami Callahan on a podcast today said at the next...i think it was evolve ippv, he is now wrestling Generico, first time in the us he added.
As i stated earlier in this thread, i have not thought highly of mr callahan in the little i have seen, but i would like to think Generico will make this match good.
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning
Uh...
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Callihan is like one of the few bigger name guys I've seen that has had a bad match with El Generico, something I thought was impossible at times. I did not like their WxW match.
I don't particular hate Sami, but jesus, even Sean freakin' Waltman had a MOTYC against El Generico.
generico & callihan are both awesome, i'd wager they work shit out and have a good match in evolve. it shouldn't be too hard, sami hits generico hard, generico sells it like death, generico makes comeback and either wins or just falls short. i'd imagine sami would have to be the heel.
i really want to see how callihan vs steen went.
alex, sami will most likely not be your cup of tea(especially with that whole clothesline anti-fetish thing) but if you really want to se him at his best you should hunt down the stuff from his feud with adam cole. will likely make you a big fan of cole if nothing else.
