I don't really think Goldberg is bringing in the big bucks at the moment, if he needs money i don't see why he would refuse to do a job.
And if he doesn't need money, question of why he wouldn't come back answered.
And christ would i not want to see that match. You have a guy who gets tired in matches that go longer than 2 minutes, and a guy who hasn't wrestled an actual match for 8 years.

With Summer Slam less than 4 weeks away, we some ideas of matches.

We already have Brock vs Triple H. Though I'm betting some stipulation will be added. Looks like a Punk vs Cena for the title. Maybe with Big Show thrown in. It seems that Byran will face off with Charlie Sheen in some way.

I'm not sure who Sheamus will face. He already beat Del Rio clean. Ziggler has the MITB so a straight up match would probably not happen. Plus it is looking like he'll face Jericho.

What other top heels are there? Orton may be back from his wellness suspension. But I'm betting the WWE will not be willing to push him or have him with the title any time soon. Barret may be back but that is still not a a sure thing. The Miz just won the IC belt. Kane is being pushed as a face. Big Show is a maybe I guess though he seems involved with Cena/Punk/Rock. Rhodes is a possibility since he doesn't have a program or angle right now.

Are we certain that the Rock isn't wrestling SummerSlam? A Punk/Show versus Cena/Rock matchup makes perfect sense, following last night. It's easy money and it keeps all of the feuds going. Also, it pushes the Punk/Cena match back further. Cena shouldn't get another shot so quickly after losing the MITB.

Sheamus/Rey should be your main title match. They work well together and it would make a great opener. Have the rematch of Christian/Miz & job Cody to Santino. Santino might not be a great wrestler but he is loved by the kids. Santino/Cody and Layla/Beth should be your "bathroom break" matches.

Only person that they really have no room for is Kane.

If Rock works 3 matches in the year any drawing power he has dissapears, because of that, i don't think we are seeing him till rumble. Doesn't make any sense to have him announce rumble and not summerslam in any event.

    PREDICTION TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Preshow
    Cesaro vs Santino
While many think it's time to get that belt off Santino, i find it hard to accept that a heel will win the belt off a popular face on the preshow, shitty booking but im going with Santino.

PTP vs Truth and Kofi for tag title
PTP, they will give them the belts to say sorry for firing their manager and let them know it isn't their fault. Tag division will stay dead.

Miz vs Rey for IC title
Going with Rey, i don't think they need any built up heels since Punk is going heel.

    Daniel Bryan vs Kane
Going to take a chance and say Daniel Bryan. I don't see them doing anything with Kane right now, Bryan is really fucking over, and hasn't won a ppv match all year. Also has been losing on tv a lot.
However, if Bryan does lose, it will be via charlie sheen interference.

3 Way for the WWE TITLE!!!!
Punk wins, a lot of the match is big show being double teamed by Punk and Cena, but eventualy, Punk somehow screws Cena into getting knocked out thus going full heel. Now, the question is, does Cena get knocked out of the ring and Punk somehow pins Show, or does he pin Cena? I still always find it hard to beleive they will let Cena be pinned, and the 3 way is there so he doesn't have to lose. So probably Punk screws Cena and wins by pinning Show.

    Brock vs HHH
HHH wins, but i am praying somehow Brock wins.

Pre-show Santino Marella (c) vs. Antonio Cesaro
Going with Cesaro to boost the pre-show as something to watch.

Triple H (with Shawn Michaels) vs. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman)
They're booking it as HHH, but Brock needs a win to be any kind of future draw.

    Kane vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan just to mess with the fans.

    Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho
Ziggler. Jericho is leaving soon plus Ziggler needs to go over to build his MITB win.

The Miz (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
Hard to say. Both guys are just there. I guess Miz to maybe build a feud with an upcoming face?

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil and Darren Young)
PTP. They've gotten over and having the titles will do so even more.

CM Punk (c) vs. Big Show vs. John Cena
Punk to set up heel Punk vs Rock.

I guess we'll get Sheamus vs a "new" #1 contender on Friday. I'm guessing Del Rio gets it again or somehow a triple threat with Orton and Del Rio. I'll go with Del Rio either way just for kicks.

Ziggler loses, beats the shit out of Jericho after, thus getting him away for his tour, making Ziggler a badass for killing someone.
Jericho comes back in the future as a face when Ziggler has the belt and they already have a feud ready.
    Bam.
    Book it.

Pre-show Santino Marella (c) vs. Antonio Cesaro
Antonio. If anything to bring some credability back to the US Title

Triple H (with Shawn Michaels) vs. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman)
Longshot pic considering how obvious HHH is booking HHH to win and how the IWC here is eating it up I'm going to go with Lesnar. It would be a different issue if Lesnar won against Cena but if they ever want him to be credible for future events then they have to have Lesnar beat HHH

    Kane vs. Daniel Bryan
Filler match number one. Going to go with Danielson as I see nothing to gain for Kane winning

    Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho
Going with Ziggles. Jericho is leaving soon and I can see him willing to job to Ziggles to help him get over. What WWE's going to do with that is anyone's guess

The Miz (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Filler match number two. I would say Miz wins as he just won the title.

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil and Darren Young)
Hopefully PTP as they deserve a win.

CM Punk (c) vs. Big Show vs. John Cena

Punk. Only due to pinning Big Show. I don't see the situation with Punk and Cena ending so Show's going to be the sacrificial lamb to drag the Punk vs Cena feud out a bit more.

I'm looking at Jericho vs Ziggler to be match of the night

It would also depend on how much time that match is allowed to have. Lets say if it comes on before the Punk vs Cena vs Show match, and before a filler match, then it could be match of the night as I expect it to go on a bit longer and HHH will no doubt bust his ass to put on a good show
