I'd like to think the WWE could be just fine without any one single star. Even Cena.

I'm sure Cena is a solid ratings draw and will be missed... but overall in the long run I'll wager ratings are ABOUT the same even if he's not around.

Still, ratings aside I wouldn't want to be the guy to fill Cena's shoes. That guy is a freaking machine, the way he's constantly out there promoting the company. Say what you want about Cena in the ring, but out of the ring hes probably the hardest working guy in wrestling. And Punk (who likely already does more than his share) will probably be stuck picking up that slack.

Punk is the guy the WWE counts on in the event Cena is out of action so picking up the slack is inevitable

WZ has learned from sources that WWE is considering a tag team match to be added to tonight's No Way Out pay-per-view.

Sources claim it will involved a mid-card faction and be a surprise in tonight's storylines to the audience.

If Cena was gone for 3 months and Punk was on the top the ratings would stay the same i would guess.
It wouldn't improve, it would just stay the same as it has been.
