We already saw what happens when he works with Henry.
Ryback vs. Cena will probably be pretty good. Not great, but Cena doesn't usually have bad main event matches. His formula and work is rock-solid, and works with everyone. Plus, it's not as if Ryback is the Great Khali or anything, he can actually have a wrestling match. I think it stands to reason that Ryback will achieve more as he's asked to do more. I don't think that quick two-minute handicap matches is his ceiling.

Plus, it doesn't matter how people react to Ryback, the crowd will react to Cena for sure. There are people that Ryback could wrestle and the crowd might sit on their hands, but this isn't one of those match-ups.

Ryback isn't terrible, and I think fans will have some patience with him as long as they're seeing progress.

But then again, people might just want to see him tear people apart instead of seeing long, competitive matches. It'll get old eventually, and he'll have to adapt, which is something the Bryan match shows is still a possibility.
not terrible but pretty bad, and he's been developing for about 8yrs now.

i do. it will be simple but good imo, though i suspect some people have already made up their mind it will be shit and will stick to that no matter. rybreads offense looks pretty good, and i imagine he'll spend a lot of time on offense. i doubt cena will be working a body part so i don't think long term selling will be an issue in the match. cena vs monster is something cena usually does rather well.
Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

Actually, i altered my view when they announced the stip(probaly in the raw thread), i think it will be acceptable but nowhere near the best match on the show. Last man standing allows for every bit of smoke and every mirror in the world.
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning

How long did it take Mark Henry, though? I think he got through his entire 10 year deal with WWE before he started to be effective anywhere. And that was all main-roster burn, too. Ryback's only been on the main roster for about 18 months total. The rest was all either injuries or developmental time, which isn't the same thing.

Also, Cena does good feats of strength kinds of stuff, which would be kind of fun with Ryback.

i think that works in favor of rybread, they got mizark backwards by putting him on the roster before putting him in development. imo it's not really fair to even count that time against him. if you look at mizark from the time in development which was around 2000 it was about 5yrs when he either became good or the WWE figured out how best to use him.

He has totally not been given a fair shot as a face I think. He turned face, tried the Ric Flair thing, won and then loss the IC title, then went away to film a movie. He hasn't really been given a good feud at all.

With Miz right now I feel We're watching the story of a guy who has been there done that.... and just doesn't really have the passion anymore. I get the feeling he'd just as soon get a job behind the announcers desk and look for film roles.
