Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order
I'd just prefer if he isn't going to do a wrestling move for a finisher he does something atheletic, or they didn't cute it up and call it the WMD, have him do a dance or something before he does it, have him do something that sets it up as a finisher other then it being something against the rules that isn't against the rules if it ends a match.
Edit: Im looking for micheals superkick in a punch if you haven't guessed. Others guys have used superkicks, other guys have used kicks that looked much better and aren't super, but he builds to that, im a big fan of finishers that have a build. Show raises his arm and makes noises before a chokeslam still, it lets you anticipate the move.

Yeah, thats my thing, he hasn't been doing it latetly, he's just pulling it out suddenly.
I don't like a punch as a finisher, but if he's going to use it, i'd just prefer to see it dressed up is all im saying.
Though that raises the question of if he has time to wind up, or whatever, why doesn't he just chokeslam them, unless his arm is tired.

Seriously, screw that list. Glacier was awesome, especially since he was basically Sub-Zero and Nitro used to air pretty close to Mortal Kombat Conquest. And Disco Inferno is only on the list because he works for TNA. Nobody who ever saw him and heard that theme song forgot Disco Inferno. He is so cocky, he is so cool. We want more, more more.
so damn true, especially about disco inferno. i'll be watching my nitro 97-98 dvd set and when he comes out i've heard baby mama singing along with his theme in the kitchen. she remembers the words 13yrs later and didn't really even pay attention to WCW.
also it should've been a list of most forgettable gimmicks, not wrestlers. most forgettable wrestlers would be guys like scott putski, mike enos, jerry flynn, john nord, erik watts, craig pittman, etc

considering the size of Big Shows hand, I have no major issue with him using a punch as a finisher
I like finishers that require very little "set up" but that is just me

It's certainly a believable gimmick.
If there's any wrestling move that's going to knock a guy out, it's a punch.
The only downside to a movie like that is storywise, if it's so easy to hit why doesn't he just do it earlier. Why do a chop in the corner for example, when he can just punch them and end it.
But I can live with stuff like that. It's entertainment.
when it comes to criticism from wrestling fans, I am reminded of a video I saw.....it was one of Punks last ROH shows, and it was in upstate NY I believe during a really bad snowstorm....and some fan was up there really giving it to Punk and he basically used his mic time after the match to use this kid as an example....how some fans will do nothing but bitch moan and complain....but you still spent money

That's my biggest problem with it, wrestling relys on me suspending my disbelief, and i can't do it with that move. He shouldn't be allowed to do it in front of the ref, is probably my biggest issue, because if he can just punch a guy he should be doing it constantly.
A running knee to the head would also hurt more than a punch, but since he doesn't do that i guess it isn't an issue. I don't need things to remind me that Show is a kinda old, kinda unexicting guy in the ring also.
