10 days in Jail and a 100 000 dollar fine and 30 month probation seems light.

$100K fine doesn't seem light.
But, considering they were trying to plead him out for rehab and no jail time, I'm not surprised the actual jail time wasn't lengthy. I'm more concerned about the 2.5 years of probation (and drug testing) - he hasn't managed that long without any problems in quite a while.
We all know Hardy was gonna plead where he wouldn't serve jail time or much of it. The drug testing and probation is basically what TNA wanted. I think Jeff likely told them in order for him to return , he was gonna be placed under probation to come back.
He likely knows if he fucks up...his ass is grass and will motivate himself to stay free and all.

I call BS, if this was him leaving legit, they wouldn't put the story on the front page, highlighted in the slider bar, the day he got fired on screen.
They never put firings in that little picture bar, they always put them under in the list because they don't want to really advertise that they are firing people.

Bischoff also discussed Matt Hardy and claims he really didn't wanna bring him in but was over ruled on it.If he believes Jeff Hardy can be relied on to be one of the leaders of TNA and whether or not Jeff has adequately put his "demons" to rest:
"We don't know that. What hasn't been reported on much is the fact that when Jeff came back to Huntsville, there was a meeting where Jeff literally addressed every single piece of talent in the locker room, including Sting, myself, Hulk Hogan, and a number of other people that were closely involved with the situation that occurred a few months back (at Victory Road). He asked for forgiveness and took total responsibility for everything that he did. He asked everyone in the locker room for an opportunity to make good and to prove that he's capable of being a valuable part of the team. I'm not going to lie. Speaking for myself, I have my doubts. It's not whether or not Jeff was sincere. I know he was sincere. But a lot of people in Jeff's position are sincere. It's a question of whether or not he can find a way to deliver and live up to what he has to live up to in order to gain everybody's trust. I don't know. I hope so. I really hope so."

Can't help but wonder, had Jeff not decided to leave the WWE, what sort of promo's Punk would be cutting about Jeff right now.
