    Ultimate Comics: (series)

I say still Ultimate <-title-> or for the Ultimates just "Ultimates" outside the forums and my shop knows what I mean.

As in this is the SPIDER-MAN series that falls under the ULTIMATE COMICS imprint. I think colon is best but forget to include it half the time when I type
It bugs me that Marvel doesn't use the colon. "ULTIMATE COMICS THE ULTIMATES" looks stupid without it.

I'm with you guys, though. In everyday conversation, I just say "Ultimate Spider-Man", and everyone knows what I mean. Here on the forums, I try to be a little more precise by using the full name.

I think the main reason the naming convention bothers me is that it forces me to think of the current USM series as the second volume of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, as opposed to the third volume of Ultimate Spider-Man.

Well, technically this iteration of Ultimate Spider-Man IS the second volume of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, but it's the third volume of USM as a whole. Just like this iteration of Ultimate X-Men is actually the first volume of Ultimate Comics X-Men, but is more or less the second volume of UXM as a whole. Third if you could Ultimate X.

Have any of you read Grant Morrison's Seaguy? I just read the first issue on a recommendation, and...wow. I'm not sure whether I loved it or hated it.

How about the title hero's name, but with the universe's name following it.

    For example:

    Spider-Man: UU or UU: Spider-Man

UU of course meaning Ultimate Universe.
