" Ultimately, the things people buy are the things that will stay."

Thank you for the encouragement on why not to buy any Super-title in September. ;) Now let's see how are those x-men doing over at Marvel...

Whether you buy it or not, Action Comics is almost guaranteed to be huge with Grant Morrison writing it.

While I know that reading about a panel is different than actually being there, I have to say that these guys READ like they are far better at PR and working the crowd than Dan Didio is. No foot-in-mouth disease from these guys.

Whenever I have read the text of one of Didio’s panels or interviews, I worry the most about the relaunch, and get the most irritated too – what with him essentially complaining that DC was broken while skirting the ‘elephant in the room’ that he (Didio) is a large part of why it is broken in the first place.

But Marz, Palmiotti and Snyder et al have come across as pretty savvy professionals that are also adept at PR with the fans.

DC should give these guys the mike a bit more often, and keep Dan at corporate HQ reading Syd Field and Robert McKee books to ensure that OMAC doesn’t suck like Outsiders did (and lest anyone jump on that joke, I am actually going to be buying OMAC. For how long? That’s entirely up to Dan’s writing quality).

    Quoting Snyder:

"Now, with Bruce Wayne, we have a Batman who has has Gotham City as his greatest ally. What if it became an enemy?"

When has Gotham ever been Batman's greatest ally?

Greatest ally? More like a stubborn problem child that constantly gets in trouble.

Yeah, arguably "Gotham as character" killed his parents. Possibly he means the support system Bruce currently has in place but with a Batman Inc. storyline still in progress that doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense either...

He probably means that Batman knows the city like the back of his hand. There are no secrets that he doesn't know. The cops are on his side too. It's "his" city.

'Asset' might be a better word, but perhaps I'm being picky.

All the same, looking very much forward to Synder's run!

"Palmiotti was quick to assure the fan that Connor -- Palmiotti's wife -- was actually working on two books for the publisher's relaunch, they just won't be ready for September."

Oh and I would add that Batman's greatest ally has been, and will forever remain one Alfred Pennyworth.

Yeah I was wondering why did the fan ask that stupid question again, didnt they reported amy reeder is writing batwoman from the 2nd arc onwards and batwoman solicitations have been released much earlier with her name on the cover of batwoman #2 also it was reported on DC source blog that amanda connor, felicia would all be involved in DC just that the books will not be solicited yet. man, waste of question.

Perhaps the fan wanted to know when the other 15-20 female creators would be joining.

You got that a little mixed up there--Reeder's going to pencil every other arc with J.H. Williams III.

But I still thought it was newsworthy in that it turns out she's doing two different books, when we all assumed that it was one.
