After doing a sample of scoring for tonight's Smackdown, it seems scoring points for Battle Royal type matches is going to be tough.

Sometimes its hard to figure out who should be awarded the elimination points. And sometimes on shows with commercials, they don't show/tell some eliminations.

I think I'll just awards points for the winner. And the rest get appearance/match/loss totals.

    So Smackdown's scoring would be:

    Michael Cole 3
    Booker T 3
    Josh Matthews 3
Cody Rhodes 27 * two matches
Ezekiel Jackson 8 * two matches
    Teddy Long 5
    Aksana 5
Justin Gabriel 19 * two matches
Tyson Kidd 8 * two matches
    Matt Striker 3
    Alberto Del Rio 16
    Daniel Bryan 5
    Ricardo Rodriguez 3
    Kelly Kelly 16
    AJ Lee 15
    Natalya 6
    Alicia Fox 5
    Sin Cara 6
    Mark Henry 20
    Sheamus 6
    Wade Barrett 6
    Wiliam Regal 6
    The Great Khali 6
    Jinder Mahal 6
    Heath Slater 6
    Yoshi Tatsu 6
    Trent Barreta 6
    Jimmy Uso 6
    Jey Uso 6
    Ted DiBiase 6
    Zack Ryder 6
    Johnny Curtis 6

It seems some people are picking Smackdown talent even though I was only going to count the RAW show on 8/22/11. Which unless there are some cross brand appearances will put those people at lower point totals.

So I'm thinking if we ever do fully go ahead with this League in September we would make picks for the whole month (maybe with 10 picks). Choices would be made during the last week before the start of the month. That way you wouldn't have to come back each week and make picks. Though that makes it harder to predict things a whole month ahead of time..

So your picks would be for every RAW, Smackdown and PPV in that month.

This would allow some strategy/extra points in picks in case there are some cross-brand appearances.

I edited again. Subbed out Orton for ADR as Orton was Smackdown. If it's too late, I understand, but if not, I am now locked in. No going back.

It's cool. People can edit their picks until 08/21 11:59 PM (PST).

Ok orton out, punk in. Was thinking to get some variety, why not divide the wrestlers into 5 sets. Have an A list (orton, punk, cena, rey, christian, adr), b list (sheamus, miz, dbry mizark, ziggler, sin cara, wade, cody, truth), c list ( ted, swagger, ary, kofi, zac, slater, gabriel, any tag teams.), diva list, and also rans (tyson , yoshi, etc) . Lists arent exhaustive and could be reviewed at end of month with guys rising and falling. Might introduce variety to peoples picks

A Battle royal match could count as a standard match for those involved maybe the winner gets an extra three points or something.

Also can't use Smackdown because it is a taped show.

With my current plan for September, people would choose 10 picks in the last week of August. You are locked to your 10 picks for the full month. This way, it doesn't matter if the show is tapped since we are picking in advance.

This would let people choose any wrestler or wrestling personality they want. And in case of cross brand appearances, get more points.

So for September, we have 5 Smackdowns, 4 Raws and one PPV (Night of Champions) scheduled.

True. It seems like if you survive/win a battle royal type match you should get some extra points especially since the WWE tends to use them to settle #1 contenders or in the case of the Royal Rumble a title shot.

Maybe we could go the route of 1 point per every person you "beat"? In the match so a 20 man battle, you would get +19 points. Or in the case of the last Royal Rumble, +29 points.

How about using promos, In-ring being more; backstage being less. Add doing run-in's and interference later on once it is worked out.
