As a Martha fan, Kenji's death was excellent. Easily my highlight of the year thus far.

Oh it's for that shitty Hunger Games / That Manga w/e cash in attempt. Kenji dodged a bullet here.
Sorry, they only have room for the original, and that's Karma. Get this ugly bastard out of here.

Everybody knows you can't have a strong minority character on the team questioning the white authority figure.
Bishop (and Synch and Skin and Darwin and Sunfire and Thunderbird, etc) had to go too -- but the "women of color" can stick around, so long as they don't cause too much fuss and are pleasing to the eye.
Also, blue eyes and revealing thongs are a plus.
I second that.
Black History Month & 29 Days in February
Ugh. Here goes the rants on lack of diversity. Just in time for me to never come back to this thread.

He would have been great with Hazmat and against X-23!
The funny thing about Hope was that her actions typified the white man's burden, domesticating foreign mutants with her brand of All-American mind control, while at the same time blathers about her self-appointed Mutant Messianic mission as if they owe her. Kenji knew about this, but the lights were too dumb to realize this, so he paid the price for being "revolutionary" and challenging the preconceived notion of being an Imperialist slave.

Kenji was awesome and Emma recognized his potential. I wish we got an issue of her mourning his death.
Emma loves the azns.

Emma Frost Week: Winner of Best Emma Frost Avatar
Stop bitching, trolls. Here is what James Asmus said on twitter on the 21st of March:
"He's not dead. Basically, if any piece of him survives, he's alive (not unlike Braniac, etc)." "But I don't think the other kids would have considered it, and it felt less powerful to immediately show him reform elsewhere" "For what it's worth, I have semi-redemptive story concepts for Kenji's return that I hope to have the chance to write."
So here the only question is which will be the next X-book he is going to honor with his presence.
for reals.
I mean, wasn't Kenji from a prominent and wealthy family.
Perhaps Gambit could be tasked with stealing a last remaining 'piece' of Kenji, returning it to his family or relative who has plans or means of reviving him.
Or maybe Gambit could steal a painting Kenji had made, not realizing the mutant's blood had been mixed in with the paint and becomes animated with exposure to Gambit's energy charge...
lol, this kind of crap just writes itself...
