Well, crap. RAS is going to put Namor and Doom in this. Now I have to buy this thing.

I did enjoy most of MK4, but I do hope RAS does a better turn on Namor this go around and remember that Susan Richards is NOT the love of Namor's life or that nonsense about wrestling with Richards.

I've never read an FF series before. However, like Thor, I have a nagging itch to try them out. This OGN looks good and I might just have to pick it up.

If you've never read an FF book before, than YES, I think this would be great! At least, based off of what RAS did with his previous work on the FF.

It doesn't have Thor, but Journey Into Mystery is about Loki and it's waaaaaay better than the regular Thor book, IMO. Very much a modern fantasy / fairy tale vibe.

Heh. Me too. I must admit, Doom's first appearance actually sounds like an excellent thing to revisit in an origin book, since there's so much backstory for him and Reed been retconned in since, and it's not a part of the tale that we've seen retold again and again like the F4's origin.

I am liking these ogn offerings from Marvel. DC has the Earth One series and now Marvel is answering with a similar concept here and it's a good play. Especially if this is in continuity and gives us a whole new way of retelling origins, since that is done quite often and updated accordingly - now Marvel has a chance to use top talent to do origin stories in extended form and bring the classic tales into the modern Marvel U and looking at the preview for this - I am sold. I also am pumped that FF is getting such a strong push of late. Thanks to Hickman and all the creators and editors that have made that possible.

Aguirre-Sacsa did great work in MK4 and was good at the FF's Secret Invasion tie-in, so I have faith in his FF Season 1. Nice to see Alyssa Moy in the mix; not quite certain about the Baxter Building's use and the Fastasticar flying bathtub prototype though.

RAS back on the Fantastic Four? I'm in. I don't normally buy graphic novel formats, but I will not miss this.

topicality, if you're curious about this, you might want to check out MK4 in the meantime. You'll see how much RAS does love these characters. His enthusiasm in the interview jumps off the page, and shows in his work. Sensational Spider-Man was also really entertaining under his pen, and like MK4, I feel it was under-appreciated. So, I'll second Rheged's take, and also recommend Hickman's work on Fantastic Four and FF. If you're going to check that out, I would go back to the beginning of Hickman's run, rather than start at the FF 'relaunch'. Lots of seeds were planted that are coming to fruition in FF now, so personally, I think it's more rewarding of a read to have that information.

Journey Into Mystery is awesome, so I second the endorsement of that as well. If you want to get into what's going on currently with Thor, I'd start with JMS's relaunch, but do NOT miss Kieron Gillen's run on the book! Fraction has been more inconsistent on Thor, and I love Ferry's art... but I can see where some fans feel the talents are a bad fit for the book. Just sayin' if the current Thor book doesn't entice you enough to pick up, try Journey Into Mystery or the JMS/Gillen run on Thor. (Siege: Loki was also excellent.).
