CBR: Marvel Announces Mike Carey's Final "X-Men Legacy" Arc

Marvel has announced via a new teaser that longtime "X-Men Legacy" writer Mike Carey will be leaving the title after his next arc, for which he will be joined by artist Khoi Pham.

Sad to see Carey leave the X-titles. It is ashame he was never given a flagship book. Disappointed that it will still be Rogue centric even after he leaves.

I like that the logos seem to indicate the sides, as well. I look forward to seeing the third book for both sides. (X-Force will likely be one.)

im gonna say either give the book to chris yost or chrsitos cage whover takes over really has to know there x- continity backward and forwards as this is the best book for long time x-men readers

I am extremely devastated. Likely dropping all X-books but UXF, X-23, and X-Factor now. Unless someone super awesome takes over, I'm unfortunately done with this title.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. With all four of these teasers out so far it looks like we'll have a split on all the books. Wolverine & the X-men and X-men Legacy on one side, and Uncanny X-men and Generation Hope on the other. I'm curious about which sides New Mutants, X-factor and Uncanny X-force end up falling on. I kind of hope one of them ends up being neutral or something, either X-factor or X-force could work in my mind for differing reasons (X-force would have to lose Wolverine for it to work, and Madrox seems naturally unaligned to either side).

I almost forgot the adjectiveless X-men title and Astonishing... but adjectiveless could just focus on different groups from either side interacting with the larger MU and Astonishing is still in the cracks of continuity so that shouldn't be a problem.

Very sad to hear Carey is going. Very very sad to hear that. Hopefully this means they are just changing the title of Legacy again and he's staying on.
