Great tributes! The enormity of this event just keeps sinking in further and further. I read the conclusion to The Storm yesterday and have been thinking about and re-reading it ever since.
Hellboy is a hero of grand proportions. I'm glad to learn that Duncan Fegredo is drawing an epilogue.
Also: Yay! A Tad contribution!
Recent Nature Sightings:
Sept 24: Two Orcas close to shore.
Nov 14: Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles catching salmon (and a duck!), Harbour Seals, Steller Sea Lions, Kingfisher.
There'd be no crappy people there, right? Among this all-star wake?
Like Justin Beebur or Britney or Dick Van Dyke or - well I don't really know what their names are - ?
I can't really check for myself cuz I still think I'd be sorta spoiler-tied for not having had my hands on the Fury #3 yet...
I'm still as blank as a flower or the morning dew youknow.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet. ~ (full) lyrics to 'Exhume' by Bedhead.
**Spoilers; just saying**
And Duncan is drawing right now a sort of epilogue that will run in "Dark Horse Presents" that is Kate finding out that Hellboy is dead.
Okay. I read the last issue and didn't have much of a response to Hellboy's death. It just made sense in the current story and where I had heard things were going. But, Kate finding out...
Whoa, I know that epilogue is going to get me.
.
Always knew this day would come. R.I.P. Hellboyat the same time, I'm looking forward to following his life after death.
All the great literary characters have definitive endings. Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, King Aurthur, etc. Its an epic and fitting choice for Mr. Mignola to make.
An epilogue! It's been a while since we've had one of those. Man, I really want this as a trade now!
I'm not sure what the point of a spoiler warning is when its underneath a large title that contains a big spoiler.
This has been a truly epic run. If you haven't followed this do yourself a favor folks and go get the entire fegrado/mignola run.

Every day the reality of Hellboy being dead hits me a little bit harder. I didn't think it would. I thought it would leave me with a strange feeling for a few hours, maybe into the next day. But it just keeps getting more and more surreal. It's strange. I really do feel like I've lost a friend.
When Kate finds out... Oh, boy. Duncan's SO good as expressing emotion. I'll probably be teary eyed reading that one.
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
He was the sort of person who stood on mountaintops during thunderstorms in wet copper armour shouting "All the Gods are bastards".
