Default CBR: Hickman's "FF" Continues in November

Despite November seeing Marvel Comics' "Fantastic Four" return with the publication of #600, the publisher today announced that Jonathan Hickman's spinoff title "FF" will continue as well.

I got to say I didn't see tha coming given the FF barely had a second title in a long time.

Suits me! I think it's a good move, really, so that FF can keep doing the wider-universe flexible cast stuff it's doing and F4 can get back to the core team adventuring. This is one case where splitting into multiple books actually makes sense content-wise. I just hope Hickman's going to keep writing both for as long as possible.

I hope Spider-man stays, cause the sales will take a dive, if he is gone.

So if FF stays at #12, how exactly is Fantastic Four at #600? I guess they're counting FF #1-11 as Fantastic Four v4 or something, while #12 is technically the start of a new book. I don't mind renumbering, but it would be nice if the numbers made more sense once in a while.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

    Default Umm...

Is the Human Torch returning...already? I thought that wasn't the plan.

I figure he HAS to stay.

It the only way this could possibly work.

One book being the original four.

The other book being Reed, Ben, Sue, Spidey and everybody else.

I don't see the FF franchise being strong enough to support both books.

I'd rather see a Power Pack book with Franklin and Val added as members.

maybe the ff will feature the whole group

while the ongoing f4 600 onwards will be the core 4 only(spidey, thing, etc)

Whoever drew that cover needs to be paid extra, cause this is gorgeous!

    Default Also,

Whereas I like the kids, I don't see the FF team being a big enough draw for casual readers...I can't see FF having enough legs to last for very long. Curious move, in my opinion.

And yet another example of frustrating restarts/renumbering.

This is the best news ever. Who knows whether it will last - it's always possible, and Hulk's lasted for a good while now - but Hickman's writing the best Marvel series in years and years, and I'm thrilled to be able to get it twice a month.
    Reading:
Fantastic Four, the Hercules stuff, Incredible Hulks, Invincible Iron Man, Morning Glories, S.H.I.E.L.D., Thor, Thunderbolts, The Unwritten, Uncanny X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, X-Men: Legacy

Well, it was inevitable, with Fantastic Four ending only a year before 600. But at least they're keeping the old numbering.

And no, the FF aren't big enough to support two books. The CAST is. And I still want the kids to kill Annihilus like in #588.

Default What's going on with Johnny?

He doesn't appear as a ghost on those covers.

I guess the readers will probably see that situation play out, with this continuation of the FF Series.....

Steve Epting (and it's a shame that he can't do double duty, since Juan Bobillo will be the Artist for doing the Future Foundation's adventures).

That's appears to be the idea.......although I recall (within Mr. Hickman's interviews) about there'll more 'members' for the "Super-Kids" group.
