Marvel Comics has announced that November's "The Mighty Thor" #8, by Matt Fraction and Pasqual Ferry, will introduce Tanarus, the Marvel Universe's new god of thunder.

I guess the good news is that Pasqual Ferry won't be drawing Thor. I hate the way he draws Thor. I don't know what's so hard about drawing Thor's suit the way it's supposed to look. It's like Ferry either refuses to draw it the way it's been designed or he just can't.

Turns out Tanarus is the Celtic god of Thunder.

Thor may not be dead, but Odin appears to be calling in a temp to take his place.

My bet Thor has to recover from Fear Itself and gets grounded by Odin.

killing off Thor now would be so stupid. the animations, movies, marketing whatever now has to be a good time to run with Thor. even if this is just some guy that temporarily gets Thor's powers I can't say it's a good idea or interesting.

I'm not a fan of his late cosmic adventures and if the character have some decent room, this is certainly within THOR' pages..

I expect outrage. How dare they Replace 616 Thor with some new character that we have never seen before with a cheap gimmick death or depowerment in FI. I expect massive outrage equaling the rage over New Ultimate Spidey at least. Let us get to the root of the true issues.
