Curt Swan's Superman is the definitive Superman, as far as i'm concerned.
Two of my favourite story lines come from the 70's. One was the Sand Superman arc that spanned several issues and left the Man of Steel slightly depowered. The other was a single issue story that involved the original Toyman with Superman against a new younger more annoying Toyman. I still get chills when I think of his explosive bubble-gum.
Curt Swan was the man, I recently picked up Zemo's biography about him, and enjoyed the read and the art.
