    Hey Jeremy Ray .

There is one thing that is killing me slowly and painfully like facehugger and exploding through my stomach like Chestburster. What is you stand on Aliens franchise ? What is your favorite Aliens movie for me are 1,2 ,4 there is good that thing for 3 that is a lot darker that the other movies and i like it more that the others .The spin off is great one prometheus is cool one i can't wait to see what they will do with the next one .Aliens vs Predators are cool flicks with pop-corn and coca-cola .

    I'd say 1 and 2 are a tie, then 3, then 4.

I have problems with 4. Weyland-Yutani being taken over by Wal-Mart? Joss Whedon wasn't a good match for the Alien universe. His version of Alien is like 1960's Batman. It didn't need to be a comedy.

The Betty rocked. The Newborn sucked. Why do they keep trying to do Alien without Giger?

Prometheus I have not seen, but I followed the development closely, I've watched dozens of reviews on YouTube, I listened to the lackluster soundtrack on YouTube. I would say it contends with Avatar for "movie I would most like to unmake." Why the harsh judgement? Well, the title of the franchise is "Alien," not "Gods and Demons." It takes a world that is very mysterious and not at all about humanity, and makes it all about humanity. The Space Jockey culture that was so alien they grew people onto chairs, one of the most awe-inspiring creations in sci-fi, is now a bunch of blue body building cultists in goofy elephantine space suits.

IMO there's a hard rule to the Alien universe - you don't go to Earth. It can be ominously in the background of the story, hostile in its own corporate or militaristic way but like the monster, best unseen. The movies that don't go to Earth are the good ones, the ones that try to are the failures (Aliens being a small exception to the rule, because they only go to Earth orbit and leave quickly).

What I wanted to see is a sequel to 3 that explores the culture of a Space Jokey race that is a 0% genetic match for humanity. I don't mind the derelict being a bomber, but I want the SJ's to be bombing an alien race we haven't seen yet. I want Giger to design all the SJ/Xenomorph stuff. For fuck's sake, give the man 50 million and buy the work of his few remaining years. The Alien franchise will never see anything that good again, get it while you can Fox.

Yes and no. I'm not part of the popular phenomen, I'm not going around doing the horse dance with people. The video is great but I could tell it was going to go viral so I've limited my exposure to it. I want it to stay fresh for as long as possible.

I've been watching kpop videos since Gangnam Style came out and I'm definitely a fan. It's not going to turn me off of the hardcore western music I love, but those bands have gotten older and stopped making music (Tool), stopped making hard music (NIN), or stopped making good music (Marilyn Manson).

Maynard is 49. At the rate Tool makes music he can't live long enough to make 4 more albums.

He seems happy running his vineyard. We'll have to be glad for what we got.

It's sad how few albums most of the great 90's bands put out. Korn is the only one I can think of that might still be rocking into the Rolling Stones years. If Head doesn't corrupt Fieldy.

I'm not interested in Head's Christian Rock band. Jonathan Davis's "Queen of the Damned" is o.k. I loved his version of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws." What else is there?

BTW I finished Enterprise. It got so much better in the third and fourth season. Cancelling it was the wrong call, and so was the Abrams reboot (for all that it does have good qualities). All Star Trek needed was a serious effort to get the right writing staff together for the show and movies.

Changes to the Avatea character have been completed. She is now ethnically a Mandan Indian. I couldn't find a suitable Mandan name. The most best-e-mest thing I found was "Hakidonmuya," a Hopi goddess. The internet says that "Hakidonmuya" means "Time of the Waiting Moon," which seems appropriate given the time the character spent waiting for Taonui in the hyperentropic layer. So that's the name I'm currently going with.

Everyone should watch these Nichelle Nichols interviews. They ought to be taught in schools -

I'd heard the story of Dr. King personally telling her to stay on Star Trek because of the importance of the Uhura character, but I didn't know she had used her celebrity to bring minorities into NASA. Nichelle is one of the most underrated human beings of our time. If I were a movie director looking for an Oscar I'd make a movie about her life. I'd make a comic if I wasn't so small time.
