One of the saddest things about growing up is, you want to get to the point where you can stand on your own and thrive, but by the time you get there, everyone you looked up to as a kid is dying or falling apart.

    This is amazing - http://youtu.be/AewcA_IINiA

It's hard to believe what a low budget production Monsters is. It's almost a one man show.

Scurlogg_Hawkk - What's the story behind the Punisher short? The blood effects were a bit cartoony but overall it was well done.

The short, super dark ending has been chucked and replaced with the longer, slightly-hinting-at-optimism, ending that had always been the plan.

I've begun working on animating XTIN (again). I'm planning to do a handful of simple 3D shots, then put together a reel with the comic pages and make a Kickstarter pitch video.

I would like to at least get the first page of TDDW animated. I'm dubious about doing the whole thing. It's got its advantages - the costumes are simple (or non-existant), there aren't many sets, the environments are easy (i.e. no rainforests). There are few characters, the story is worked out, the design work is well along. But - I've only been able to build a tiny audience for TDDW, and the story draws so much negativity. It would be better to do the sequel, but the sequel is going to be much more difficult and expensive. I'd rather not see the sequel done as animation.

Well, I may not get to the point where I have to make that decision, so why worry about it now? I'll focus on getting the pitch reel done and see if there's enough support to get the first page of TDDW animated. No reason to think beyond that at this point in time.

The story behind the Punisher short is short one Thomas Jane wanting to give something to the fans something and he do this .This awesome short .I have watched few times by now .It holds something special for me .I am a fan of the Punisher .Seen all the movies and having read most of punisher comics .About growing up , i know it's hard for everyone to go to find a way to thrive on there own .I am still growing up at a tender age of 26 (Trying to find my own way to grow my own wings to spread then like a bat(bird) and fly away ,but that is harder that i think )

I'm making progress with the 3D. Who wants to go here?

    This is brilliant -

NCTC Gets Vast Powers To Spy On U.S. Citizens

"interval1066 writes "In a breathtaking new move by (another) little-known national security agency, the personal information of all U.S. citizens will be available for casual perusal. The 'National Counterterrorism Center' (I've never heard of this org) may now 'examine the government files of U.S. citizens for possible criminal behavior, even if there is no reason to suspect them.' This is different from past bureaucratic practice (never mind due process) in that a government agency not in the list of agencies approved to to certain things without due process may completely bypass due process and store (for up to 5 years) these records, the organization doesn't need a warrant, or have any kind of oversight of any kind. They will be sifting through these records looking for 'counter-insurgency activity,' supposedly with an eye to prevention. If this doesn't wake you up and chill you to your very bone, not too sure there is anything that will anyway."

Scurlogg_Hawkk - Who is Thomas Jane?

His acting was fine but he doesn't look as hard as I picture the Punisher looking. There's a look you can't fake when you spend most of your time smiling and not getting shot, you know? An actor can frown in front of the camera but they don't have the creases in their face to say they do it all the time.

Thomas Jane is the actor who played the Punisher in 2004 and who played in this little short

Forgot about that movie. I don't dislike Thomas Jane but, for a big budget film I would have spent more time looking for a guy whose face doesn't say he's normally a well kept metrosexual who doesn't kill people.

I bet you haven't seen that before. I told you I had an awesome idea for Rau's dick.

Making progress on the HP model. The modelling is almost done (it's a bit further along than this) -

Scurlogg_Hawk - Yeah, coulda been much worse.

How did you like Snoop Lion as Moses?

I'm afraid he got his ass handed to him by the Elves. I watched his Snoop Lion video too and it wasn't that great either. Must need to be high for it.

There was a vs thread on here, Dr. Who vs Dr. Doom and Reed Richards. I argued in favor of the Doctor but most everyone thought Doom and Reed would win. I couldn't get them to consider that you can't kill the Doctor, he just turns into another Doctor. They wouldn't consider the Tardis either. Kinda ridiculous - mysterious spacecraft that can camouflage itself as a police box, travel through time, tow the Earth across the universe. Not important.

I thought Doc Brown made a good showing though, better than Batman. Good thing Robin jumped in to save the day.

Santa vs Moses would have been better without Snoop Lion. If they did Snoop Lion vs Snoop Doggy Dogg, Snoop Dogg would kick Snoop Lion's ass.

I still want to see ICP vs the Joker. ICP's last album was lame but I bet they'd tear this up.

Lincoln is great whenever he shows up, but how about a new adversary? Perhaps Rush Limbaugh.

Speaking of pundits, Alex Jones is rich material.
