Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

He changed. You seriously cannot expect the show to remain exactly as it was during the "classic series," can you? Once again, if you aren't getting any enjoyment out of 'Who,' you're more than free to stop watching it.

OMG! Talking snowmen! Talking evil inanimate objects! Next we'll have murderous store mannequins!

    Oh. Wait.

But I enjoy the nostalgic pain that it causes me.

At least the Mannequins didn't look like something out of a seasme street special.

According to DWM the rest of the season starts next April, with the 50th anniversary celebration filming around that time as well (I'm guessing the season seven finale will have a trailer for it at the end).

As for the Snowmen, they look more like the horror version of Jack Frost than anything muppety.

True but the Keaton one was way more horrifying then the "horror" version.

The original "snowmen" the Yeti looked far more muppety (specifically, Sweetums), and the Spirodians from Planet of the Daleks looked a lot like the "Yep Yep" aliens.

What? You find fault with the production values of Classic Dr.Who when it comes to the Yeti creation?

(entering Classic Who Nerd Mode) And did you forget that the "Spiridons" were INVISIBLE and the Daleks made them wear the big furry coats to counter that effect?! feh (exit Classic Who Nerd Mode)

It really makes me wonder why SyFy doesn't try and acquire broadcasting rights for the old Doctor Who series from 1963-1989. They could have a marathon right there of episodes.

... Because it's SyFy, not Sci Fi Channel. Classic Doctor Who wasn't done by Asylum.
...And does Mr. Goddanm Batman says so much as ''Thanks''? OF COURSE not. That'd hardly be GRIM AND GRITTY, would it?

They used to play classic DW on PBS here but I haven't seen it on since they came out with the new incarnation (2005).
