I wish they would keep it going for another 60.

Man, if you're reading the book monthly you'll realize that there is no way this book could go past 60.

Damn, I didn't realise it was ending. I'm currently awaiting the 7th trade to be delivered.

Ridiculously amazing book. Definitely deserving of some OSHCs or even an few Absolute editions.

I do read it monthly. I would still have liked it to run longer than 60 issues.

Looking forward to these final ten issues.

The book has definitely been one of a kind and I am certain its legacy will be cemented as such with an incredible finish.

Hopefully, we will one day be able to see it played out on television.

I love the book, and am sad to see it go, but there is no more story left. I would rather see it go, than see it be dragged out indefinitley.

Is this true or does it just seem that way because Aaron has been working towards the conclusion?

I concur, love his stuff. Wasn't even sure R.M. was a guy until this interview!

I love all the characters in Scalped, w/Red Crow & Shunka probably being my faves. The villians are the more interesting characters!

Like w/all the Vertigo series I've come to love (Preacher, YTLM, Fables), I came late to the party, w/the second or third story arc. I had a real problem reading Scalped, the language and violence was a bit much at first to handle. After a second reading, I got over it.

It's sad to see Scalped ending, but like a previous poster said, its better to have it end when it should then dragging it out needlessly.

Thanks for everything, Jason and R.M.!
Comics still reading: Saga, Sixth Gun, Walking Dead, All New X-Men, Daredevil, Fury MAX. DC New 52 isn't the worth the paper its printed on...

Everything is on fire by the end of #49. I'm sure there could be more stories told in the world, and Aaron has stated the posssibility, but this particular story.. it has been feeling very finite for a while now. I think that by the end of the next arc we'll see there is nowhere to go. The endgame has been set up, and it's reaching its conclusion. I'm actually glad.

I don't want the series to go on indefinitely but I think we could have taken longer to get to the end, that's all I saying.

The nature of stories is that they must end.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
