Marvel Comics has released a second teaser image, this time featuring the new Ultimate Comics Spider-Man in action, picking up where the previous image left off.

This ruins my theory about normal people dressing up as spidey. This character has Spider-Sense, is agile and may have some amount of super-strength.

Well, it's certainly not Kraven. Looks like it could be a rogue 'Captain Australia' or some such sillyness.

Seeing that the character has blatant spider-powers has me rather at a loss. I guess this puts a lot of weight behind it being a clone - which is frustrating.

I was skeptical about Scorpion being the new Spidey, but that costume looks a little bit like a mix between a SHEILD outfit and the original costume.

Funny thing is if we get a preview tonight it be these plus more. New guy in fact has spider-powers. Maybe fury uses the scorpion clone to shut MJ up.

Fury: "HERE'S your damn boy-toy, red! Now stop pokin' around all up in my business!"
MJ: "Thank you. Was that so hard?"

Ok, so my new theory is that Scorpion escapes from SHEILD custody, no longer crazy, after hearing about Peters death. He then slaps together a new outfit, using a SHEILD uniform and Spidey costume pieces, to fight crime with. After catching some superpowered baddies Nick Fury lets him operate on probationary terms.
