Superman was pretty BA in that vid.

The story sounds pretty interesting, I hope it holds up well.

I can only find Game stop and Amazon right now.

Hoo hoo. That trailer was awesome. The story looks...Promising. The price...Manageable(Though that might be the teenage disposable income talking).

But how's it gonna work out as an MMO?

MMO = online only, but that doesn't mean that you can't play solo. I've played City of Heroes & Champions Online extensively, and they're both highly soloable. However, you'll soon learn that team play is much more enjoyable.

Also:

$15 a month is pretty much in-line with what other MMOs charge.

To anybody who's thinking of getting DCUO, I'd strongly suggest checking out City of Heroes & Champions Online if you haven't already. 1) You can get free trail keys if you look so it won't cost you anything, although your gameplay will be limited. 2) You'll get some experience playing a superhero MMO before DCUO comes out. 3) You'll have something to compare DCUO to when it comes out and be able to really decide if it's good or not. [Between City of Heroes & Champions Online, I'd say that City of Heroes is better for playing in teams, has a universe that seems grander and it is more challenging. Champions Online is better for character creation, tweaking your powers is easier & it's more geared towards the solo player.]

I just downloaded the free trial and suffered through 2 hours of the crappy game before I uninstalled it from my computer. Thats has to be one of the worst games I have ever played. I feel ripped off and I did not pay for it. How the hell does anyone play that game. Total garbage... I say!!!

It's a very old game. The only thing it really has going for it is the level creator and the ease of finding people to play with.

You could try the Champions Online trial, it has much better game play and graphics. Not a perfect game by any means, but still fun.

Well... C.O. is much better than C.o.H. but it still has allot of problems. I downloaded the trail and gave it a go. All I have to say is... not much. It did not leave any impression on me at all.

I guess i can see why W.o.W is at the top of the food chain when it comes to these kinds of games.

I still hope the DCO can improve greatly on this style of game. I so want to love it. I guess only time will tell.

I would really love to talk to someone that is lucky enough to be in the Beta for DCO and see what they think of the game so far.

Like I said, not a perfect game. To be honest, I'm not letting myself get my hopes up too much for DCUO. I want it to be great, but I don't want to go into it expecting much, because chances are pretty good I'll get burned.

$15 bux? hmmm I have to think about this. I play only one MMO (Dungeon Fighter Online) and it is free but the funny part is Ive spent over 300 or so bucks in the game. So honestly it may not hurt. It isn't any different than having a gamefly account.

i have so much i have wanted to say about this game for about what a year now, finally i forgot about the forums but now im glad i can talk about it. first off the character creation should be the best customizing ever before scene, using not only random sources and powers but powers of other characters, so i believe your green lantern idea should work out great for you.anyways i have watched the cinimatic trailer from comic con the one by blur, i see a story there but i do not understand how you can have a story with a mmo? i have noticed you should be able to have more than one character per file, so what i hope comes out is that besides maybe making a team or alliance with your friends online, hopefully not like red dead redemption's posey thingy for random matches but to make a team for the whole game and be like the jla online, anyways what i was asking or wondering is if you could do it but with your own characters and since batman and people would be computer controlled, i wonder if you can do it with other characters you have made yourself. the game looks great and i know therte should be quest like things from like wow but i don't understand if there like story quests. im super excited for it and i hope its as badass as i'm expecting it to be!

oh also the beta sign up is on their website, i did it but it asked my email, i have never done a beta like this so if anybody can tell me the steps or something it would be well aprieciated.
