I love that you'll be in Gotham, next thing you know you see Batman chasing the Joker down the street and several players either helping Batman or helping Joker get away!!
I think I'll spend a good long while in Gotham.

I'm still going to play it, but the $15 a month subscription fee makes me less eager for it.
MMO = online only, but that doesn't mean that you can't play solo. I've played City of Heroes & Champions Online extensively, and they're both highly soloable. However, you'll soon learn that team play is much more enjoyable.
Also:
$15 a month is pretty much in-line with what other MMOs charge.
To anybody who's thinking of getting DCUO, I'd strongly suggest checking out City of Heroes & Champions Online if you haven't already. 1) You can get free trail keys if you look so it won't cost you anything, although your gameplay will be limited. 2) You'll get some experience playing a superhero MMO before DCUO comes out. 3) You'll have something to compare DCUO to when it comes out and be able to really decide if it's good or not. [Between City of Heroes & Champions Online, I'd say that City of Heroes is better for playing in teams, has a universe that seems grander and it is more challenging. Champions Online is better for character creation, tweaking your powers is easier & it's more geared towards the solo player.]
Yeah they are things that happen as you explore the world, they're happening all the time all over the DCU online and if you're there you'll see it, if not you won't. That's the impression I got from the article I read.
You get either a JLA or whatever the bad guy team is communicator at the start of the game depending if you decide to be a hero or villain.
It's going to be a blast seeing everyone's created heroes and villains. I am gonna be a hero, no question.
I was thinking that Gotham needs a speedster. I could be that guy. Some new member of the Allen family.
Joe Pesci Allen, The Gotham Flash.

I heard somewhere that the monthly fee for PS3 users will be more than for the PC users. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this rumor?
I highly doubt it.. If there is a fee to get the ps3 online though, you would have to pay that in addition to the 15$ for the game. For example, FFXI has the same subscription fee on both systems, but xbox live adds another 5$ to that..
Oh, and I can't wait for the Ballistic Bunny to terrorize the streets of Gotham! (at least to try it out for a month anyway)
Well I am not a huge DC fan I thought I would throw you all this link, It looked a tad interesting to me.

Looks great!
Happiness is just a word to me, And it might have meant a thing or two, If I'd known the difference
Emptiness, a lonely parody, And my life, another smokin' gun, A sign of my indifference.
