If you're only on premium then it's still doable if you're part of a League.
Get a Legendary League-mate to buy the stuff for you and either pay him back over time or swap him something for it - Focus Element II or IIIs would be more than enough.

Honestly, play for a week or so to see if you really like the game. Then you can decide.

I started off as a freebie player then bought the Green Lantern DLC ... and eventually went on to be a legendary one.

I just got back into it.

While it's not the best game in the world, it's easily in the top 10 of my list. I prefer it to World of Warcraft, as it's something I'm more familiar with. So I get to notice how the equipment is named from the New Gods, Ambush Bug's references, etc..

But anyways, does anyone here play it? If so, how do Green/ Sinestro Lantern powers work? I'm gonna create a Lantern character in a bit.

I tried downloading this on my computer today and when i went to start it I got the message cannot launch corrupt game files. I have already tried to reinstall and I got the same message. Any suggestions?

I'm not playing the game anymore, but a quick headsup for those we are:

The DC Universe Online DLC is currently on Summer Sale at Steam. All three DLCs together with 75% discount. Action will run for another 8 hours.

I really do like this game. Im glad it went F2P. The light powers are heaps fun, have yet to try the electric power set though.

Ah well, finally i downloaded the damn thing. (15 go on Steam, how weird, at first it says 27 and then it's 15)

I picked earth powers, two pistols, Batman as mentor (well, who cares anyway now ? You can buy from any vendor you want so...) and so far so good. What surprised me the most is the players. There is a LOT of them now.

Gee, wasn't like that at all back then when it wasn't free to play and with too much servers.

Fun.

Better that way than another^^

I'm not playing the game anymore too. For me it was OK just OK. A real DC-feeling never came up to me because of the many individual characters.
I'm still looking forward to Marvel Heroes.
