Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself ... I'll take it off. And you know, 'memorable' doesn't mean 'most fantastic.' It could be a bad memory. BUT, I'm trying to remain optimistic.

And YES, please help me fill out / edit the above info. Besides sharing our appreciation of the Defenders, I'm hoping to have some quick info to refer folks to that are new to the Defenders I can't believe there wasn't already a Defenders Appreciation thread.

Sooo, did anything happen between Cloud and Iceman? I didn't get all the New Defenders run.

If you like old school Defenders, I highly recommend this book. It came out a week or two ago, so it may still be on your LCBS's shelf. BUY IT! It was a lot of fun, with that oddball Defenders vibe, but still had it's poignant moments. And the wonderful interactions I like seeing in the Defenders like these:






It also had a very cool behind the scenes, backstory about it's creation. Kurt Busiek explains at his blog HERE.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised at all the folks who expressed their fondness for the Defenders in the new announcement thread. So, I went looking and I couldn't find one here already. Of course, it could be hiding, what with the forum's less than spectacular search function.

Anyway ... do you have a favorite run or roster?

I came to the Defenders through Namor, of course, but the team also holds fond memories for me, because it's one the books I got in on from the beginning at the start of my comic book collecting. Yes, I'm dating myself.

I also loved it when they added Valkyrie to the book. She was great with the original guys.
