i remember as a kid there was a female character i think she was a bounty hunter or something but i swear she appeared on both shows. can't remember her name, i think she wore pink.

i thought that was the OG lion-o voice.

Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order

I liked it more than I thought I would. Turning it into a real naritive rahter than the episodic (and redundant) stories of the earlier version was a great choice. In that, and in the art, it reminds me of the new G I Joe (which I also like).
How is it that people can't follow a cartoon show? It was quite obvious that tech has been hidden or lost and that Mum-Ra gave the lizard men the new tech.

Is it wrong for me to think Cheetera is hot?

Is this a complete do-over? I was watching this as if it took place centuries after the original Thundercats came to Third Earth and these are descendants of the originals.

I liked the epic feel of the show though, and I'm excited for the next episode.

    I really enjoyed the premier.

    Loved the cameo of Lynx-O!

And they managed to turn Tygra from the most boring ThunderCat to the most interesting, and my new favorite. I love the new dynamic between him and Lion-O, and the possible love triangle brewing.

That's Mandora. An intergalactic bounty hunter. Not sure if she appeared in SilverHawks, but it would make sense.

I enjoyed the premire. I'd like to see this series last longer than the He-Man revamp

Did they mention that in the episode? Cause i must have missed it.

Tech was regraded as a myth. Just as old as Mumm-Ra himself. It's likely that he supplied the Lizards with the tech they were using.
Yeah this doesnt make sense. If Mumm-Ra was defeated before he likely didnt have mech and missiles so this must have been developed, and some one should have been keeping an eye out. This will probably be explained later on but right now it just too goofy.

How the hell do characters collectively named the ThunderKittens be too young? They're suppose to be kids
When they are too young to be effective characters.
But i guess their magical flute is going to get the two 5 year olds out of a lot of trouble, which will, of course, become super repetitive.

I thought that was even better than any episode of the original Thundercats. Did anyone else think the man on the tower who remarked My keen sense of smell allows me to detect the lizards a mile away without seeing them, was Lynxo?

Loved the premier!!! Darker. No talking Snarf. I would have like to have seen the Cat's forces actually die onscreen, but I guess that's asking too much. I like the hostility between Lion-O and Tigra--some good characterization to work with. Panthro is MIA. And, because their planet didn't explode, it gives LOTS of opportunities to bring in other cats as new characters.

Very interesting is the idea that the Cats were oppressors on Third Earth and not the benevolent species we saw in the first cartoon. Lion-O has a lot of stigma to change about his race.

Out of all the characters the Thunderkittens were the least changed from the original show, some I'm guessing the concept probably wasn't going to work unless they were changed to the point where they no longer resembled the originals at all.

And the technology was explained pretty plainly right in the beginning of the episode, technology was once advanced and plentiful in the distant past, so it seems logical the reptiles got it from Mum-Ra as he was from the distant past.

I thought this was very obviously a "centuries later" follow up to the original. Sure it's unrealistically coincidental that a team of survivors with the same names and similar features of the original T-cats bands together to stop the bad guys(down to a Snarf and a self-sacrificing Jagga), but that can always be written off as Prophecy/Fate/Destiny taking a hand and shaping this generation.

Anyone else notice the Ro-bear paw in the scavenger's collection?

I dunno, next to Snarf they are the most changed.
Everyone else seems to be the same.

Seriously? They're little imps who make mischief and get into trouble, that's pretty much exactly what they did in the original series.

No I think your wrong on this one. This comes off as a total reboot not some follow up. It should be that way since a totlay new take just leave them alot more room to work.

Maybe its just that the kits have actual young sounding voices now intead of old person voices like they had in the orginal series.
