Was Gwen Stacy a big science fan in the comics? I don't remember that...all else sounds good, though.

She was just a plain jane girl. Fashion, boys etc... I think making her a science nut was to add some depth to a rather bland character.

shows ya how much a give a flying **** about Gwen Stacy. The only time I ever thought she was interesting was in MARVELS.

Gwen Stacy sucks
I hope this Gwen Stacy isn't as boring and annoying as the one in the comics.
And yes, Gwen was a Science Major. She was in the same class as Peter. And no, she wasn't a plain jane girl, at least not at first. under Ditko's time on the book, she was originally depicted similar to Liz Allen. She was the popular, hot, rich (something Liz was not) girl that every guy was drooling over. She hated Peter at first because he wouldn't pay attention to her like every other guy (he was to busy being Spider-Man, dealing with Betty leaving, and Aunt May's health). Soon after JR Sr. she was made into the sweet, innocent (not really since Green Goblin tapped that @##) daddy's girl.

Yeah, Gwen only became boring once Ditko left and MJ showed up.
As drawn by Ditko she was dang near movie star beautiful.
And yeah, she was a science student. They completely forgot that later on. I blame Stan Lee for that.

Well, let´s see what i know about Gwen Stacy:
- she was blonde and often wore a hairband
- she was the daughter of captain Stacy, a big Spidey fan
- she dated Peter before MJ took that mantle
- she died when her neck broke after GG threw her off the Brooklyn Bridge and Spidey webbed her foot trying teo catch her
.... aaaaaand
- she banged Osborn and had two babies with him (ew)
Wow, if I had the ability to retcon these elements, i know just which one(s) I´d go after.
