Y'know, regardless of all of the negative press, criticisms, and jokes that have been labeled against this show, I am happy to see the actors, like Carney, are still very enthusiastic and positive about it. Indeed, actor injuries and horrible story-telling aside, the new retooled show looks good. Watching some clips off of YouTube, I was seriously in awe with the spectacle elements of the show (Spider-Man swinging through the air was really awesome) as well as the songs. I just downloaded "Rise Above" and "Boy Falls From the Sky" two nights ago.
Now, I have to be realistic. The reviews of the new show are better, but "Turn off the Dark" won't be winning a Tony any time soon. Still, I really wish I was back in NYC right now so I could see this show.
