well, seems like HAWK AND DOVE is ALREADY an animated (coughing) as for DCUP, opening with DEADMAN was the most wonderful gift DC could have done to me, Paul Jenkins' script seems to be very interesting, but I feared for the art and I was right..

Bloody Hell!
I could not find one truly horrible page in the lot...even Leifeld has shown some improvement...some.
My excitement is fast becoming quite overwhelming.
Sun and Moon
Wood nailed her. Like only good Wood could.
Well to the surprise of no one that Hawk and Dove art is terrible. Teen Titans art isn't necessarily bad but what they are doing to the characters seems that way. Static Shock looks amazing though.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
Brett Booth's art is really vibrant, I was worried about the new costumes but he really make it work.
And I'm shocked that I kinda like Liefeld's art here, maybe he can deliver.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
Everything looks amazing, so far. I think I'll get the whole lot of #1s in that HC, in December.
Happy times :)
Animal Man art looks pretty surreal; definitely checking it out. Teen Titans looks pretty awesome, Suicide Squad looks interesting, Hawk and Dove look great, and I'm definitely on board for Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E. The wait for September continues...

Man, this was a fine set. Even Liefeld's art looks... it looks... good. Okay, breather. Say what you want about Brett Booth's costume design (because it is truly bad), his pencils are kick ass. Animal Man's is just beautiful. Giffen-- incredible. That Hawkman page is Tan's peak. That JLDark cover? Drool. What's the fully coloured spread at the end? That's magnificent, almost Cassaday-esque.
Oh, crap, I'm going to get thrown off the internet soon. Better say something mean. Uh, DiDio is still really bald. Baldy.
Much quality present.
The most pleasant surprise is how alive Teen Titans looks.
Is there somewhere I can look to see exactly which books each piece of art corresponds to? Some are obvious, but others not so much so.
Batman, GL, Miss Fury, Uncanny X-Men, Hypernaturals, Witch Doctor, Casanova, Green Arrow, COPRA. +A bunch of trades every month.
So...when does Tim put on his mask?
He's falling, pulls strap, and then he suddenly has domino.
Anyway, the art on this doesn't look as terrible as the cover but next to the stellar art of so many other books, it looks weaker than it actually is. The concepts are as eye-rolling as ever though.
Sorta disappointed by the change in tone for the art of Blue Beetle, compared to the art-style trend of the previous series. I hope it is still as fun as it ever was
And wow, Static has officially been upgraded to my 'must buy'!
While i did like the red robin outfit since it was first shown... but it kinda kills the whole bat family motif.

Heh didn't notice that, they'll probably show or explain it early on, maybe he just put it on between panel 1 & 2.
