Agreed. The story has the cool, retro vibe that I dig. The art looks swell.

I'm very surprised to see this at Image considering Dynamite did the new HC edition of Black Kiss just a year ago (which is an amazing story once I got it) and I can't wait to see this new prequel.

I'm just twisted enough to count Black Kiss as one of my favorite comics ever. I remember having to negotiate with my local comics shop back in the day when the owner got antsy and didn't want to even order the last 3 or 4 issues of Black Kiss, let alone have copies in his store. Can't wait for the "prequel." Then again, I'm always in line for anything new from Howard Chaykin.
