Why won't the just accept the point 1 thing was a failure.

Chucking them all into one book isnt going to help that. It's just forcing you to read about characters you may not be interested in so that you can find out whats coming up for the ones that you are.

And the Year One graphic novels, yet again chasing this none existant new reader. If anyone was interested theyd do what everyone else did when they got into comics and just pick and issue up and work it out. People aren't morons. They don't go buying comics because
they aren't value for money for a casual reader.

Maybe put graphic novels out that appeal to the already converted masses would make more sense.

Im getting tired of both companies not getting this. This party they are throwing for new readers. Nobody is coming. Not until you drop the bloody prices. These movie people, well for starters you need to compete with movies that do comics better than the comics and cost the same to go see as two issues.

And biggest comic con going and the only real news we have so far is Cable returns after a year.

Lame. I guess thats why it was anounced here and not on the x-panel. Because Joe had nothing else.

You wanna tackle falling sales you need to do better than this.

My question is, why is this thread in the Spider forum and not in the Marvel Heroes section?

How? They failed to bring on board any new readers. They sold less than an extra regular issue would have in most cases and that was with a price drop for some.

Season two is merely Marvel yet again trying to convince us they didn't screw this up.

Sounds like that Fearless series may focus on the lower rung characters. Very Brightest Day. Im not complaining though for once. Any chance to bring attention to underused characters is welcome.

Year one books sound like a great idea to me. Batman: Year one is probably the best Batman graphic novel ever, seems only natural for Marvel to try something similar.

I can't stand the vilains-rooster. Neither the event himself. Can't explain.
Paul Pelletier will draw it, okay, but so will Mark Bagley .

Only your last point could bring me to this book.

    1) i know I'm in the minority, but I'm kind of glad Cable's coming back. Don't know why he was killed off in the first place.
    2) I'm also intrigued by how the "Dark Avengers" members are going to be involved with new Avengers, since they're either dead, or in Thunderbolts.

Its a new Dark Avengers. Happens in the annual or the point 1 issue I think.

The Point-One thing wasn't a failure. It let Marvel publish extra issues of titles at roughly the same sales as a regular issues.

They've been trying to figure out how to produce more than twelve issues of content per monthly title per year for some time. So far, this seems to have worked.

Thats not what the point of Point 1 was and everyone who comes out with this excuse knows it.

Plus roughly the same as is not the same as just releasing an extra normal issue which would be the same and Marvel have proven they are more than capable of doing with most titles this year. So how is that a success. They sold less than a normal numbered issue and didnt bring on board new readers. It failed in its mission statement and failed to match the sales just calling it 146 as opposed to 145.1 would have made.
