Awesome trailer. This should be good. The voice of Batman is perfect for the DKR version.
The cover looks fantastic as well, although it doesn't quite seem to fit the style of the movie/book.

Disappointed that WB/DC animation didn't take my advice and get Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson to reprise their roles, but it looks great so I'll get over it.
No argument there, but what a treat it would have been. The two main actors from the film that helped change the mainstream audience's image of The Batman acting together again in an adaptation of the graphic novel that achieved what the movie did but in comics and literature.
The Official Press Release for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 1:
FRANK MILLER’S COMIC MASTERPIECE IS NOW AN ALL-NEW ANIMATED ORIGINAL MOVIE.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS - PART 1 COMING SEPTEMBER 25, 2012 FROM WARNER HOME VIDEO.
Legendary RoboCop star Peter Weller and Modern Family star Ariel Winter are joined by David Selby, Michael McKean, Wade Williams, Gary Anthony Williams among the stellar voice cast.
Frank Miller’s landmark graphic novel about fear, hope and redemption is celebrated with proper measures of haunting visuals and intense action in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 1. Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives September 25, 2012 from Warner Home Video with a Two-Disc Special Edition DVD ($24.98), Single-Disc DVD ($19.98) and Blu-ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98), also available On Demand and for Download.
Fan favorite demi-god Peter Weller (Dexter, Naked Lunch, RoboCop) is the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Ariel Winter (Modern Family) is the voice of Carrie Kelley/Robin, David Selby (Rich and Famous, Falcon Crest) is the voice of retiring Commissioner Gordon, Michael McKean (Auto Focus, X-Files) is the voice of Dr. Bartholomew Wolper, Wade Williams (Burn Notice) is the voice of Harvey Dent/Two-Face, and Gary Anthony Williams (Dystopia) is the voice of the Mutant leader.
In the bleak and ominous future of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One, it’s been a decade since Bruce Wayne hung up his cape and cowl, following most of the other superheroes who had been forced into retirement. Facing the downside of middle age, a restless Bruce Wayne pacifies his frustration with racecars and liquor – but he still beckons as he watches his city fall prey to gangs of barbaric criminals known as The Mutants. Bruce Wayne is finally prompted to once again don the cape and cowl, and dramatically returns to crime-fighting – battling Two-Face, and simultaneously making him the target of law enforcement and the new hope for a desolate Gotham City. Particularly inspired is a teenage girl named Carrie Kelley, who adopts the persona of Robin and ultimately saves Batman from a brutal attack by the Mutant leader. Armed with his new sidekick, and re-energized with a definitive purpose, the Dark Knight returns to protect Gotham from foes new … and old.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One is directed by Jay Oliva (storyboard artist for Batman: Year One) from a screenplay by Bob Goodman (Batman: The Animated Series). Sam Register (Batman: Year One) and Bruce Timm (Batman: Year One, Batman: The Animated Series) are the executive producers. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2 will provide the epic story’s thrilling conclusion with its release in early 2013.
"Frank Miller’s classic re-imagining of Batman has been faithfully recreated under Bruce Timm’s skilled guidance as a masterpiece of storytelling,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Home Video Vice President. “This story has been treated with great reverence, including a tour-de-force performance by science fiction legend Peter Weller as the voice of Batman. We know our fans will not only love this film as a stand-alone, but will clamor for the release of the second half next year."

I very much want a large size version of that cover, without the text. Would make a great wallpaper.
That poster is pretty cool.
I will be waiting for both parts to be released though. See it all at once.
Yay for the yellow oval! It needs more love that lovely yellow oval.
Fantastic trailer. And Peter Weller as Batman sounds great-- has that raspy, scraping voice to fit older Bruce.
With DVD and especially Blu-ray storage capacity, the fact that they're releasing this as two 75 min movies is appalling. It should be one movie. I may wait until Part 2 is released to see if they're combined into one movie or if both movies are packaged together.
"Sunday has been cancelled due to lack of interest. That is all."
why do they release Ultra Violet with all of there movies. No matter what WB releases it seems as if Ultra Violet is with it.
COME READ MY BLOG COMIC!!!
