Interesting...so new Avengers side projects in time for the live action movie. Lets hope there is a new adventure featureing the comic book version of the Avengers movie characters.![]()
it's gonna be the Ultron War event that Bendis has cooking up. it will probably be a miniseries or a crossover between the Avengers titles
Oh good, does this mean we'll have a classic Avengers team in time for the movie? I mean, last thing Marvel wants is for people to ask why Spider-Man and Wolverine weren't featured in the Avengers movie, right?
Fun stuff coming down the pipeline I think.
Monthlies: Cable & X-Force, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, Fearless Defenders, Savage Wolverine, Wolverine, Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny X-Men
So they aren;t going to relaunch Avengers at number 1, they are just going to do what they did with Thor and Captain America and relaunch the book to get a new number 1. WTF. They aren't even trying anymore.
Plus c'mon no new readers are coming in off the movies. Why the hell do they keep kidding themselves.
I just hope it means a new writer for the title.
If they really wanted to get the feel of the AVENGERS movie for the new #1 all they can do, short of getting Joss Whedon himself to write it, is match the characters up and get John Cassaday or Bryan Hitch to draw it. I'd really like Marvel to try a writer other than Brian Michael Bendis on the franchise, but he'll probably stick around considering that him and Avengers together seems to sell well enough. I'd seriously consider giving Zack Whedon a shot on AVENGERS - his comic work has been generally well-received and there's the added bonus of having the name 'Whedon' on the cover.
EAT GLASS, LAWMAN!
