Hey, Peter, there were John Carter action figures in the past! (Well, PVC figurines, really). I got a set for my godson in the mid 90s!

I look forward to this comic, hoping it may recapture some of the fun of the first Marvel John Carter series. That is still my favorite comic-book adaptation of the Barsoomian stories.

With PAD on the book, I'll be buying it for sure.

Trailer for the movie looked good. Though some parts reminded me of Avatar.

I had zero hope that anyone -- least of all, Disney (I mean, seriously) -- would ever produce anything even remotely faithful to the books, but the trailer actually has me slightly hopeful.
