Really looking forward to see how Bane is brought into the DCnU. We all have to agree that it's going to happen, I mean he's in the new movie so they have to introduce him rather quickly. I for one would love to see Bats run the gauntlet of Arkham escapees for several months and then Be broken by Bane in month 11 or 12. Give each villain a comic or 2 to torture Batman and Gotham and then feed him to Bane. A nice thurough retelling of Knightfall.

Having Batman run through a gauntlet of his enemies is one of the most tired comic cliches. I can't stand it. It's done constantly, whether it be in Long Halloween, Knightfall, No Man's Land, or Hush. It's such a lazy idea devoid of any storytelling or actual thought.

I just know that Bane is going to be introduced early on in the new series and I want an awesome arc. I want him to be one of the smartest villains that the Batman has ever faced, bc he is.

Why would they? They introduced him ages ago, and it's not as if Batman is getting rebooted or anything.

yeah cause Scare Crow, Ra's Al Ghul, the Joke and Two-Face all got huge pushes before there appearances in the Bat movies.

It won't happen you can't recreate Knightfall. Bane is a one trick pony

I always thought Bane was one of the most unimaginative villains in Batman. Reading Knightfall was super disappointing. Even his visual design was lame, IMO.

I think that the movie version is going to be great though.

He's fairly cool in issue #35 of Secret Six. The rest of the series he either walks around with the delusion that he's lived an honorable life or is just your garden variety creepy guy with a "call me daddy" complex.
