    Default Shatterstar Appreciation

So he hasnt had his own thread for appreciation - until now

From Shatterstar's (Gaveedra Seven) beginnings in Mojoworld, hes become integrated in the X world mainly affiliated to X-Force and X-Factor.

    Share the love.

I think we should do a Rictor/Shatterstar thread highlighting both.

Nice, I didn't realize he didn't have an appreciation thread. He is definitely one of the few characters I liked from Liefeld's run, and a guilty pleasure from my childhood. It's nice to see him get some good exposure in X-Factor, and he is a riot in that book. I even miss his ridiculous, repetitive catch-phrases from X-Force. What do you think about his new sword attachments coming from the arms? I think it's a nice twist on a classic staple of the character.

I'm fine with the arm swords personally. As a master of many forms of combat he probably could go back to his normal swords if he wanted to, so maybe these new weapons just amuse him at the moment.

    Gotta love the catch phrases!

Im not sure about his sword attachments, i think in some areas of combat their not the most practical. But hey im feeling it for now

So what's your favorite Star costume? I love the original personally, with the padded epilepsy helmet. Still my favorite action figure from back in the day.

I like Loeb Shatterstar best, looks and personality-wise. Nu-Shatterstar is just so... I feel like he's written as an idiot as a means of scene stealing which is more annoying than anything.

I'm quite fond of the purple getup. I also like what he wears now in X-Factor because it's streamlined and sexy, and, though I can't remember if he actually wore it or it was just a one off cover thing, I like what he's wearing on the cover of X-Force 40.

The original costume isn't bad, persay, but if you add in the over the top muscles and rage-filled faces, it's just not cool. I've seen some sketches other artists have done of his original look, and he doesn't look bad.

I don't think PAD's Shatterstar is an idiot at all. He comes across and a more exagerated version of his original concept of not understanding earth/human norms. The only problem with that, is that he has now been here awhile and should be more integrated.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

He did go back home for a while in between when we last saw him (Civil War, was it?) and when he appeared in X-Factor, and we were never told exactly how long he was there.

    LOVE me some Shatterstar.

When people ask me who my favorite X-Man is I often answer Shatterstar. And when they don't know who that is I follow with Nate Grey. And when they don't know who he is I sigh and say Rogue, or Storm, or Nightcrawler, depending on my mood.

If he went home, how did Cortex get ahold of him?
