The fourth text-as-art teaser for Marvel Comics' "Fear Itself" followup event features the Silver Surfer. Could more Defenders be far behind?

So more then likely a new Defenders series.Hmm and the line up of,

Doctor Strange
Silver Surfer
Iron Fist
Red She-Hulk

As of right now that's a PASS on me,don't care for any of the characters besides Strange and his hole magic act gets played out fast in my book.Unless someone like Namor,Beast,Iceman,Angel or Nighthawk fills out the roster I am going to skip it.

Hopefully the last member or next member is Namor who badly needs to break away from the X-Men or Iceman(if he doesn't die in Schism) sense he has been so badly used and under used in the X-Line for years.But he would be a better fit in the New Avengers along side his buddy Spider-Man.

So if a new Defenders series does come to pass I sure hope that Doctor Strange and Iron Fist are off the New Avengers and are only on one team.Their not Wolverine,Spider-Man or Cage so them being on more then one book doesn't fly with me.

It would make no sense for Iron Fist to leave the New Avengers for this. There is no good story reason.

Hmm I like Strange and Iron Fist but I hate Silver and am not a fan of the Red Hulks either. So maybe I just wait to see who joins.

At this point it really depends on if there's another teaser and who the creative team is.

At this point it really depends on if there's another teaser and who the creative team is.

I like the Surfer... but anytime he's in an earth bound setting they just job the hell out of him left and right.

I honestly hope he's a part timer, or this takes place in an appropriate setting for him at least.

Well hopefully Namor himself if not I think Iceman could fill his role i.e has water based powers and is cocky that sometimes fly off the handle as well.So Namor is my pick with Bobby Drake as a replacement.

Well its going to be hard balancing settings between the Surfer and Iron Fist because that is a vast gulf.

There isn't much choice, is there? It's either Namorita or Namora.

A complete wildcard ... Stingray. Not an Atlantean, but would fill the water baby slot.

The story reason for any formation of the Defenders is something BIG is happening, and we need to band together temporarilly to take care of it.

I'd love to see Namor on the Defenders, but I don't think the X-office is going to let him go. They need him to stand around behind Scott and hit on Emma.

The X-Office has been known to share though.

Logan is an Avenger, and Storm was used regularly in the Black Panther book in the past.

And really, I'm Namor historically isn't an X character anyways. On his resume, that's probably like fourth behind Avenger, Invader, and Defender.
