Default How can Braniac appear in a Superman movie?

I think the Gary Frank illustrated story where Clark meets the real Brainiac would make a good movie adaptation if you take away some stuff like supergirl,Kandor and maybe all the bottled cities.Any suggestions?.

You are taking away all the things that made it a good story.

And if Brainiac doesn't have the bottled cities, what does he do? Just wander around the universe for no reason?

Bottling cities might look a bit odd in live action. I'd prefer the Animated Series' approach to Brainiac whether he just gathers knowledge into his database and then destroys the planet. Although I still love Geoff Johns' idea that there's an organic version of Brainiac.
Your name is Kal-El. You are the only survivor of the planet Krypton. Even though you've been raised as a human being, you are not one of them

I never liked Brainiac... the whole... 'evil computer' thing is annoyingly common nowdays....

Also i think that if done poorly, it's going to bring flashbacks of Superman III.

Something the producers will PROBABLY want to avoid... Heck Superman Returns Was criticized for being too similiar to superman 1 and 2.. and people LIKED those movies ;)
I wouldn't call it Blackmail. I prefer Extortion! The "X" makes it sound Exciting!

A mash-up of the two could work. After amassing the data of a planet or culture Brainiac could preserve a living sample by shrinking a city before sterilizing the planet for colonization of his creators.
