I have already posted twice on this topic, but, Yeah for a Penguin mini!
As a matter of interest has anyone read a Gregg Hurwitz novel?? How was it.
An unashamed Bloodstone, Captain Britain, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Bat-villain fanboy.
I read the Crime Writer and really enjoyed it. I bought the last book but haven't had time to read it, but The Crime Writer was strong enough that I bought his next book, if that can be taken as a sign of support.
I'm also looking forward to this mini-series.
Thank God someone is finally doing something to establish such a well-known Bat villain. We all recognize Oswald, but what, and why, is he what he is ?
Really hopeful about this.
CBR should really downplay that Hurwitz was part of the painfully boring and meandering V series.
Sounds interesting. I'll probably pick this up. May get is book too.
If you're not reading Unwritten you should be.
You're Next gets 4,5/5 and 4/5 on Amazon.co.uk/com
I think I will order this mini-series. I don't know much about Oswald and how he became the Penguin, so I'd love to see how that will be explored by Hurwitz.

I'm getting this too, I love Penguin.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
Yeah I'll grab this. Otherwise I'd only be picking up one book that day. Gotta support villain books when ya can.
Yup, can't wait.
If it's gonna be like the best telling of Penguin's origin, then that will be worth it.
If, not, then meh, because, actually, I think I've read enough of Penguin's origin between his Pre-Crisis one I have and "The Killing Peck" in SO Special #1 and others flashing back to it.
I think I'd rather have a good "present" Penguin story than yet another telling of his origin.
DC discarded their history, and now has none. DC will always be in the shadows of their past work.
If it incorporates Killing Peck and Penguin Triumphant, but expands information from those even further, it might be good.
But if it's just another writer having a Geoff John's fixation on changing an established origin so he can claim ownership of the character, . . .![]()
