Wish Suicide Squad were being written by Ostrander. Still like his Deadshot better than anyone else's, including Simone.

I'll be giving Marz' run on Voodoo a shot simply because I liked his Top Cow work. (The art is nice too) Hopefully, it proves worth following. That's it for this batch though.

    Default about Deadshot's costume...

You think the last time DC redesigned his look with a more metal-ized appearance they would have learned their lesson...sometimes an outfit is just classic (and iconically recognizable) and probably shouldn't be messed with that much... Or do artists really just love drawing all those extra metal bands and bolts around things.

Not saying I hate the new outfit, but it doesn't really seem like an improvement on the old one either (and like many of the DCNu outfits, not as iconic as the original, change for the sake of change...)

King Shark's buggy eyes look great however!

Harley Quinn I think is being matched to her Arkham City counterpart. This Deadshot seems to be a hybrid with the outfit he wore in Batman: Gotham Knights and the one from his mini-series years back.

That cover and solicit for Deathstroke have convinced me I made the right decision by not adding it to my pull list. In fact, the only "Edge" title I'm getting is Stormwatch at this point.

Weird that Voodoo was switched from Dark to the Edge.

You know, I absolutely love the cover, but the solicitation does sound a bit bland/boring. Strangely enough, I had the same reaction to the solicitation for Kyle Higgins' other book, Nightwing. Both books have just gone from pull-list to "try the first issue" status.

Also really, really like the covers for Men of War, All-Star Western, Blackhawks and Stormwatch.

Stormwatch solicitation sounds totally bonkers, which is great. Like the sounds of War and Western too. Blackhawks' fill-in artists have me concerned.

I'll be picking up Stormwatch, Grifter and Nen of War for the Edge titles. Still on the fence with Suicide Squad. Everything else is a no.
In war the elders may give the orders, but it's the young who have to fight.

They did a lousy job of it then, imo, as they look almost nothing alike, (and the differences are all to the detriment of the comic version). If you look at the cover, there's absolutely no way Harley is not giving whoever in in front of her full-on nipple view. Maybe if they had kept the straps and higher neckline of the Arkham City corset/vest combo it would look a bit less ridiculous.

Happy to hear that someone else is planning on grabbing Men of War.

    Just All-Star Western for me.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives.

Such a blatant phallus representation on Blackhawks cover!

Also, Martian Manhunter's costume seems very awkward too.. :-s

Not to be a total negative post: I love how Voodoo #2 looks. I am getting more and more excited about this book. Ah, the nice lady semi-reminds me of Power Girl too, for Basri's sake :)

Voodoo was always Edge. Dark is Vertigo. Edge is Wildstorm

Can't say any of the Edge line are a must buy for me...probably like the look of Grifter and Stormwatch the most, but will wait to see reviews first.

Apparently, you and I will be the two buyers of Voodoo. :)
