Not really interested in robinson or the shade, but Darwyn Cooke? Gene Ha? I might just have check out some of these issues just for the art alone.

The Frankenstein cover is great, looks like Lemire is creating a team of bizarre heroes and monsters, sort of like the league of extraordinary gentlemen meets the creature commandos and BRPD.

The swamp thing cover is good, but not as good as the previous one.

The resurrection man covers also great, love Ivan Reis' art work.

I was just wondering about this yesterday. Robinson's Starman series is by far my favorite run of a series. It just hit me yesterday that this mini might not see the light with DC's reboot. I'll be very interested at see what parts, if any, of Robinson's Starman mythology remain the same.

Its not a mini. It doesnt say its a mini anywhere. But it sounded like it was going to be one when he explained it on CBRtv.

Well when the Body Doubles survive the relaunch I think it's safe to say it's just a matter of time before everyone's favorites come back.

Excellent. Fingers crossed for a Jack Knight cameo. I just hope that it's 'Starman' Robinson who shows up for this, not 'Cry For Justice' Robinson.

Shingi70, here's a quick bio on The Shade. He was featured prominently in Robinson's Starman series; a former Flash rogue turned hero/protector of Opal City.

Those other three Dark books look great, too, particularly Frank. And the Body Doubles are back? Nice.

"The 12-issue series launches with a cover by original "Starman" artist Tony Harris and interior art by Cully Hamner with Darwyn Cooke, Jill Thompson, Gene Ha and other artists tackling future issues."

Does that officially make it a "maxi"?

James has mentioned in a couple of interviews that the SHADE is a maxi-series ( I guess that is what a twelve issue series is called) and if the title is well received, then there will be another a second 12 issue series.

Glad to see that this has made the light of day. I was excited when James mentioned this to me at the Emerald City Comicon in March 2010.

"Cully Hamner (RED) kicks off the series, and upcoming issues will feature art by such luminaries as Darwyn Cooke, Javier Pulido, Jill Thompson, Frazer Irving and Gene Ha!"

Now that is an artist line-up I can get behind. I haven't finished reading Starman yet, but I might get this now anyway.
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2

12 issues doesnt make it a mini. It just means that it has an ending.
