Joe Casey sure knows how to do his comics. I'm just loving this so far, can't wait to see it all blow up in crazy shit like he's promissing!

A question I think that could have been touched was why is Stacy X back and powered? Wouldn't it be easier to just retcon New Warriors (last series) out of continuity by now?

This was brilliant. Magneto passed up a really great offer when he kicked the Ultimate Nullifier out of bed.

Easy answer is Spin Tech. Or it takes place after Childrens Crusade and she got her powers back by way of Wanda

Hmmm... does this sort of imply that the Last Defenders are actually still a team as we speak?

Because the members seem so scattered at this point.

The easiest solution is to pretend that awful series never happened. Most readers did.

    Well wasn't the Defenders originally a non-team?

To a degree yeah. Though there was a core team that typically did operate as an actual team.

But I don't know... a lot of it just doesn't seem to fit. Kyle seems Nighthawk again, Hellstrom still isn't running around in tights, and I THINK Krang was shown as a villain again somewhere after Last Defenders (though I'm not 100% sure of that).

Still, I guess none of that exactly excludes the last Defenders from still operating. It just seems kinda weird.

Young Tigershark doesn't last long according to those preview pages.

I do like that this series is seemingly a "tie up loose ends from the past 5 years" story.

    Nooo!

He's one of the reasons I'm reading this mini! Hopefully he lives or dangit, I might just be out before the party gets started.

i've got this awful feeling that Ultimate Nullifier is really that old guy who appeared; at the beginning of the story. maybe he can temporarily nullify his own aging.

Based on She-Hulk's comments in issue #1, I get the impression the group is still operating, but only part-time. They aren't a regular team, but they get together on occassion, when Kyle calls them together for something.

What did she say in She-Hulk 1?

Not from the first issue of Vengeance. spoilers:
Nighthawk is referred to as Pennyworth by She-Hulk and he asks her to use his codename in the field. Joaquin Pennyworth seems to be Nighthawk.
    end of spoilers
